When did Boxing Fans Become Money Managers and Network Execs??

They call it "prize fighting" for a reason. I personally find the business side of boxing fascinating and in a way it helps rank the pecking order among the boxers. It made Golden Boy and Floyd put on better undercards to sell his ppvs. It determines purses for the fighters. It forces networks to make the best fights, etc. Imo, the only thing more annoying than boxing fans discussing ppv and business matters in boxing is those who bidch about boxing fans discussing ppv numbers and finances.

When Floyd used the "who is he and how many fans he got"excuse for not fighting Margarito. Y'all can say what you want but that's when it started. That made everybody start looking at numbers

It would not surprise me one bit if many of the posters on here have masturbated to these fighters' photos or push their cart around in the grocery store talking to themselves in strange voices, fantasizing that they're out running errands with Manny and Floyd. :rofl::rofl:

I like knowing about ratings and ****. Unfortunately its a huge driving force in certain fights for this sport.

Why does it bother you that some diehard boxing fans discuss these topics in addition to fights and fighters. Because those things usually get in the way of the fights being made, which would make the discussions about real fights and not fantasy fights.

When the sport evolved. Fl0mos and *******s didn't create the situation. It is what it is. Unfortunately this is what the sport has evolved in to.

This fighter makes more money than this fighter. This fighter's ppv sales don't even compare with this fighters' This fighter should sign with this network because they are paying him more. This fighter is not worth fighting because he won't make enough money. And on and on... When did this start? I know it's always been behind the scenes, but it's now somehow leaked into the boxing public. when the f1om0s and p@ctards feud began.
