Roach has made it normal for trainers to trash talk for their fighters - it's stupid!

Roach isn't the 1st trainer to get loud on somebody and he does that because Pac refuses to do it himself he smiles nice and pretty when the cameras are on him somebody has to do the talking, so it falls to Roach a lot doesn't matter what he says though, he's the trainer not the fighter

I hate it. I find it pitiful and embarrassing on behalf of the fighters and for guys who forget themselves and have a much higher opinion of themselves and what they do/how important they are. It's a bit like how Cortez started to impose himself on fights just to make himself look/feel more important because he developed some huge ego and started to think he was part of the fight. If you get noticed a lot, you aren't doing your job well. Trainers shouldn't be getting into this media hype bull****. Their entire focus should just be training, game plan and mental preparation of the fighter.

I actually like it in this scenario where the fighter is quiet and needs a spark to fire up. Pacquiao doesn't like to let Roach down and I believe hearing Roach talk so confidently about him ignites that extra desire to deliver come fight night.

I don't know why roach insists on cheapening Pacquiao's wins by talking them down. Why doesn't he talk them up to make it look like they are taking it seriously?

Good point, I think they get a pass but now I'm sounding hypocritical. I'm getting owned in my thread. Roach is often a scape goat, not that he is innocent. Very few high profile trainers never trash talk. Nacho, Emmanuel Steward, Brother Naz seem not to.

agree trainers forget their role i do enjoy hearen from them once n while when theyre given insight into stradegy for a fight or training but ya the talkin for the fighter or talkin trash is no more interestin then when the fans talk **** for their fav fighters more specificly with roach they always make big deals bout his prediction which hes been wrong since like forever except when he called one perfect prediction lol

Roach has had hundreds of fights thats why he is like that. Hunter never even fought so he shouldn't be talking trash. I'm not fond of trainers who never even had 1 amatuer fight. This is the only sport where the coaches never even participated in the sport. Imagine a basketball coach who never even played the game? BRB Im going to go referee an NHL game even though I never even saw a hockey game on tv.

some animosity has to be made between camps since pac doesnt talk sht. roach does the barking for him. and hes a poilitician so anything negative that comes out of his mouth will reflect poorly on his image. Ah true dat. .
