Porter and Malignaggi are scheduled to fight with the winner having to fight Brook next. That's them out for almost a here. Broner did not want the fight, neither did Schaefer. So who else is there except for the guy with the great comeback win over Ortiz? I like this fight, if Khan comes through, he will be back in my good books but I think he will get stopped. Which is sad as fights against the likes of Porter, Malignaggi or Alexander would be better for him.

Collazo is a legit challenge for your first fight at welter... I would have rather seen khan-broner but won't complain about collazo Couldn't agree more. Khan-Broner would have been sweet... But there is plenty to look forward to with Khan-Collazo

FFS people are seriously saying he shouldn't have picked Collazo, on the Mayweather undercard, and should have fought Brook in the UK?? How is that a better option? Its not a better fight or career move just because it's the fight you would prefer to see. Collazo coming off big win + well known fighter + decent resume + former WW champ + mayweather undercard vs Brook who has fought Senchenko and creaked past Carson Jones, and even people in the UK have trouble remembering he's a boxer and not Kelly Brook the fit model. The important thing is that he is on the Mayweather card. It means that the eyes of the boxing community is back on him, regardless of who he fights. Nobody cared about Ishe Smith or Carlos Molina until we saw that terrible match up last year, but now we know who they are (albeit for negative reasons). A lot of people knew who they were before, they are called "boxing fans"

Because why is Khan suppose to fight Thurman who basically doesnt even have hands, but sledgehammers, so why would you suggest Khan fighting such a high risk and absolutely no reward fight? Whether people like it or not Khan is still in Floyd contention and this fight is just pointless from that aspect. I got nothing against Collazo. I'm happy he is getting the opportunity. I just don't see Khan benefiting from this fight. And if he loses...let's not even go there. Lose, lose situation. And it's not like he's going after a high risk low budding star like Thurman. If he loses it is a lose situation but if he wins it is a great move to get his career moving again. Personally I think Collazo is a risky fight after a long lay off and his poor showing in the last 4 fights. If he had been more active and shown more form it would be easier to agree with you.But as it is if Khan fought a better opponent the risk profile would be too high and if he fought another Molina he would have been laughed out of town. The lay off waiting for Mayweather has created this situation,that is where the fault lies and he has set himself up to pay dearly for it. He should have fought Alexander when he had the chance and he would not be in this situation.

Matthysse is fighting on April 26th in a comeback fight after losing to Garcia. Porter chose to fight Malignaggi. Broner's people wanted nothing to do with the Khan fight, he's fighting that bum that Khan beat a couple of years ago. Alexander could have been a possibility but he's coming off a loss and is boring as sh1t. Khan's options were basically Collazo, Guerrero or Kell Brook. Guerrero fight couldn't happen because of his legal issues with GBP. Khan could have fought Brook in the UK for big money but it would do nothing for his profile in the US because no one there knows who Brook is. Hence Collazo...
