I didn't watch the fight live - I am watching it right now and I only just finished watching the first round of Canelo vs Angulo now and it looks so fake it is unreal. Angulo is throwing punches as if he was sparring with his 4 year old nephew. Anybody wanna tell me that this wasn't fixed has got to be kidding. And I have ONLY WATCHED THE FIRST ROUND yet.
And yes, I did predict Angulo to win this fight. But that does not make me biased per se. That first round looked like a complete joke.
I've watched boxing for 20 years.
That was a rigged fight. Even total newcomers could see it. I had my 12 yr old cousin yelling at the TV at this WWE type ****.
And this is the problems with critics... Uve watched boxing for 20+ years??? Wow!!! Try getting hit in the stomach with hard shots and then tell us how ur game plan wasn't altered...
Angulo just sucks. Maybe a bit drained, having a bad night and not feeling well but come on people, who was expecting much from Angulo in the first place?
That's what shot to hell fighers do.
Angulo hasn't been the same since the Kirkland massacre.
Pretty much that. Vintage Angulo doesnt get destroyed by James Kirkland. Nothing against Kirkland but there is no way a guy that gets dominated by Kirkland has a chance against SCA.
Didn't you see Angulo literally crying after the ref stopped it?
It was tears of joy. He was so happy about the check he was about to receive for throwing the fight, that he started crying.
NSB :lol1:
If Angulo threw that fight, why would he voluntarily take a beating for 10 rounds and get his face disconfigured? Some people lack some serious common sense. He would have just taken a dive. Rigged fights don't look like that, they look like Pac Clottey.
My god why can't we realize that Angulo is just not that good? I mean the guy is 0-4 against top opponents. The fact he went life and death with Lara and knocked him down twice says more about how much Lara is overrated than how Angulo is any good
angulo has a reputation as a tough customer who can take punishment. if he went down in the first round that would look highly suspect. the fight looked highly suspect anyway with angulo's pillow fists and inside glove slapping but its hard to rig a fight. there's no way to make it look totally real.

prepare yourself for triangle warfare! the fact that canelo went life and death with trout shows just how overrated canelo is and how much better lara is.
If it was fixed then why wouldn't they plan an early knockout win for Canelo?
He could just take one clean shot on his chin and get up too late for the count.
Why would he take 10 rounds of punishment? His face looked like hell.
A knockout would end his career.

No?

I actually didn't know what weight they were, but Canelo looked much bigger and stronger. He took Angulo's punches easily and AA can bang, AA looked clearly the smaller man.
Canelo should move up, he always seems to have weight issues.
That looked to me like Hunter's crappy plan to have Angulo jab his way in.
rafael got it wrong. angulo was 174 canelo was 170. the eye test really doesnt cut it. i dunno why ppl think thats an accurate way wo tell how much fighters weigh. they were essentially about the same size. both are huge jmws. both shold be fighting at middle.
Right , and how about Canelo losing twice in a row?. You get a washed up Angulo on the spotlight while the young champion would be virtually finished.
I am sure GBP would have loved that, good business.
Besides, Canelo's carreer is stacked with bull*****, the kid is not bad, but he's been brought up to be their money machine, that's obvious.
They handed him a belt against freakin' Matthew Hatton, paid old Shane to move up and make their kid look good. Then the open scorecards against Trout: they gave Canelo every single early round for doing next to nothing, so that when he gassed the fight was virtually over.
Against Floyd one of the judges gave him a draw when he got schooled all night long.
Do you notice a pattern?.
If they thought Angulo was a real threat they would not have chosen him for an opponent. People are just blinded by hatoraid they couldn't see that Angulo was tailor made for Canelo's strength. El Perro got taken to school, deal with it.
And you still didn't really respond to my post. No **** that Golden Boy doesn't want Canelo to lose, but what could they offer Angulo that would equal what he would gain if he beats Canelo?
Canelo was putting it to him, he immediately showed who was boss in the fight and never allowed it to change plus Angulo really is not a fighter that changes fights, I am actually kind of surprised he lasted as long as he did.
Canelo was just clearly better, they picked their get back on the horse opponent wisely.
Angulo looked like he didn't even wanna be there
don't think the fight was fixed, Angulo got a beating
if he was told to throw it, he coulda done so less painfully
he simply wasn't in game mode and lost to the guy who was
