Lara is the single most overrated fighter on here.

Lara is good, but it looks like he can only fight from the outside and has almost no ability close range or in the pocket. I could be wrong, but the little I've seen of him doesn't tell me otherwise.

Overrated??? Probably not. Overhyped? Maybe. However, I do feel Lara is the only person left to give Floyd a competitive fight. Stephen A. Smith on twitter talking about a Canelo-Floyd rematch...GTFOH with that BS...STICK TO BASKETBALL.

Lara is way overhyped in this forum. Probably because Floyd is running out of opponents and he seems like he can give him some competition but when people say Floyd is ducking him and he will beat Canelo and GGG, you guys have gone too far. Canelo may be the only opponent he can beat.

I think some are starting to overrate him JUST A LITTLE BIT and I like Lara A LOT, I think he CAN beat Canelo but he i going to have to be much more aggressive Ronnie Shields is a good trainer but all his fighters seems to lack aggression sometimes and fight off of their back foot too much, I see it with his young up and coming fighters like the Charlo Brothers. Extremely talented and skilled but NO KILLER INSTINCT, Edwin Rodriguez same thing, Talented and Very Skilled but lacks Aggression and a Killer Instinct So if he does get Canelo in the ring or even Mayweather...can't just be a one hand fighting counter puncher just going backwards against those guys, Lara is going to have to lets those hands fly like he did against Trout because he is not getting the decision over either of those fighters

He is abit overrated IMO. But he's also a good fighter and arguably the best at 154. But he's not as good as some make out.

Very few people think that Lara would "whitewash" Floyd. However, many people, including myself, think that he could pose a real challenge to Floyd and give him a tough fight. That's a far cry from a whitewash. I agree with this..

Lara has accomplished things in boxing there are more people who discredit him than acknowledge him like yourself. There are plenty more overrated guys out here who get credit for blowing away bums like they are some type of phenoms for it.

overrated by who? most people here hate Lara for having a boring style he gets ripped to hell for the Vanes and Molina fights all the time and of course he caught hell for struggling with Angulo if anything, Lara is underrated around here

Lara is overrated because people think he is "above the pack". No, Lara is on the same level as about 5 other fighters at his weight. He isn't far and away the best. He is the only one in the division capable of beating Williams and that includes Floyd.
