His opponents move forward and he moves in cadence at higher speed. A bit like fencing but in fencing you don't have a ring to run around in. The most humorous showcase of Floyd's bicycle defense was against JMM. Marquez might as well have been standing completely still for 36 minutes Floyd maneuvered around him so easily. You can see just how much of a scary, overly cautious fighter Floyd is in that showcase. He was infinitely more careful than he needed to be. Genuinely embarrassing at times.
