I personally pick Paulie Malignaggi because he has the professional knowledge being a two weight world champion and is not just a fan of the sport which helps him give us an in depth analysis. His voice doesnt bother me either and unfortunately just like singing not everyone has the voice for it. He understand and knows how a fighter feels EXACTLY in a certain situation. Its great because for those of us who havent and will not box with relevant knowledge and understand a sport we wont participate in but still love dearly.
So its quite simple people whom do you all think is the best commentator in boxing?
Paul Smith Jnr is absolute quality when he's on boxnation.
Would love Sky to replace that twat Jim Watt with him.
Paul Smith is good analysis wise as hes a fiter but i dont think he has the voice for it like i personally dont like it still better than Watt who had Bute winning by a point vs pascal among other b.s i cant recall.
UK wise Glen Mccrory is good and Ian Darke is on another level
Al Bernstein and Malignaggi.
Hopkins and Malignaggi is a good duo too, it's funny when Paulie calls him "X"
Malignaggi is such a boss he even got a job at Fox and does post fite interviews. I love it

Atlas followed by Kellerman, it's not close after that.

Ward is the worst commentator. He's up there with Lennox Lewis.
Yeh his commentary skills definitely dont reflect the wealth of knowledge he accumulated from all those tough fites hes been in. Very disappointing.
Lewis is horrible too. "oh paul magginaggi...malayyynag...malanagey looks spectacular" Could never pronounce Malignaggi's name for ever.
For my money it's Paulie, Kellerman, Bernstein, Lampley and Brian Kenny.
The worst are Gus Johnson, Teddy Atlas and Mauro Ranallo. Ranallo is GOD AWFUL.
For me it's: Paulie, Roy Jones, Bernstein, Kellerman, Lampley, Ward, and then the UFC guy (in that order)
So yea, Paulie
Well if you wanna bring all sports i wanna make a case for Michael Cole because pro wrestling is REAL
Roy Jones JR.
Bhop and Ward when they do it but Roy is the OG of commentating and the most entertaining

Floyd would be a horrible commentator. I'm not just hating on him, but just listen to him speak. He has like 6 or 7 cliches that he repeats over and over and over, and when he has to go outside of those go to cliches he sounds like a retard. There have been an infinite number of guys who were brilliant at their respective sports but once retired and in the booth -- they couldn't even string two consecutive sentences together.
Well that's him as a fighter.
He obviously has gotten an idea that the media will always try to steer him towards something with manny pacquiao, so I think he's taking a deliberate step to just avoid that question by repeating some bs over and over again.
