far as i remember pacquiao was genuinely pumped up for the hatton fight, there was some sort of small beef between them after he lost a darts match to hatton while doing a promotional tour of the uk.. anyway when ref is giving his instructions pacquiao is looking mean and deadly serious while hatton cant even look him in the eye because he's too nervous..
that was the last fight i remember pacquiao had bad intentions, he really wanted to do some damage.. ever since he destroyed hatton I dont think he was quite the same.. its like he started taking it easy on fighters.. reminds me of chris eubank when he neaerly killed michael watson he said he was never the same fighter because he couldnt throw punches with the same ferocity and power in case he hurt his opponent too bad..
You are reaching, that was a off balance slip. JMM never sat on his butt or was wobbled, his glove touched the canvas but he was still standing, just stop. JMM knocked Pacman on his ass and than ko him.
Bradley hurt JMM worse than Pacman, in the 12th round he wobbled JMM and JMM nearly fell on his ass but he was able to regain his balance and composure.
That was a clear knockdown. lol at slip. It's just not the type of knockdown that dazed him in that moment. It was a power shot that knocked him. Mentally Juan wasn't knocked, but physically his body gave way.
Hatton was the one who came into the ring with bad intentions, he bum rushed and jumped on Pacman from the bell, he had no respect aqt all for Pac and it cost him the fight. Hatton kept leaping into punches and getting hurt, just like with the Floyd fight.
I am not sold on that knockout, I don't think that Hatton was really hurt he pretend to go to sleep because he didn't have it in him anymore he just gave up. If you look at him lying on the canvas he had his eyes slightly open when a guy is knocked cold they have their eyes wide open and give you that dead stare like Pac and P williams, both had their eyes wide open and were out cold. Pacmans power is not real at 140 plus. Hatton just gave up, he wasn't really hurt from that punch watch it again and see his eyes are slightly open and he was breathing heavy.
Stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Yes, that definitely wasn't balance either.
hatton would have beaten pacroid had he not been shot to pieces
pacroid beat a horrible horrible version of hatton, that win and ko is overrated
hatton shud have hanged it up after the floyd fight
From our beloved Anorak:
"Ricky 'atton's lost his erection 'as Ricky 'atton," he wailed, "I feel like there's just nothin' I can do lately to stop letting fans down. I get beat by Floyd, but I pick meself up... I make comeback and I get twatted again... now I'm enjoying a really good bumming and I can't even keep it up."
He did drop Jmm in their 4th fight

I guess we will never know. He fought Mayweather on 12-08-2007 and lost via TKO In the 10th round. He then went on to beat Lazcano by UD and Malignaggi by TKO In the 11th round. He fought Pacquiao on 5-02-2009 and was Knocked Out In the 2nd round. He was coming off of two prior wins. How was this a horrible horrible version of Hatton? If you are referring to his out of ring activities that Is his own fault that he didn't take his boxing career serious enough.
No version of Hatton would have ever beaten Pacquiao IMO.

hatton was washed up and in deep depression, mentally lost, gaunt and punch resistance gone
pac fought the worst version of hatton
had they met before the floyd fight hatton would haven beaten pacroid

Maybe he was never going to KO Magarito or Rios. He was hitting Margarito with way more shots than Mosely did but he wasn't going down and he was still dangerous for much of the fight. Rios has never been KO'd so again, there's no telling that Pacquiao would have got the KO either. As far as what he said after the fight, we know Pacquiao is the biggest promoter of his "humble", "nice guy" image so it's no surprise he would say something to that effect after a fight.
If he would have kept the heat on Margarito he would have been carried out of the ring In a body bag. If I'm not mistaken Pacquiao looked at the referee on a few occassions wondering why he didn't stop It. Margarito took a brutal beating that could have been even worse If Pacquiao didn't let up.
It's not even close to a myth. It's obvious. He completely backs off during beatings where he used to kill. He admits to doing so. Pacquiao from 6 years ago or before would never let someone as helpless as Margarito or Rios survive. He would never be content to back off of a fleeing Cotto.

I know It's early but so far this Is In the lead for post of the year.
Pacquiao always has bad intentions. That's another myth that he's taking it easy on his opponents. Maybe he's just not able to KO everyone and Hatton rushing in face first was the (last) perfect opponent for him to KO.
