You didn't answer the question I see; you say they are weak competition name 5 fighters right now who beats all 10 from current fighters. if they are that weak anybody can do it. I even told others on this site that if there was a time that Floyd should have gone into retirement it was now not when Floyd did to avoid the risks. Divisions are much weaker now.

Go check out Floyd's last 10 fights and check out how many times they won after their fight with Floyd at the weight division that they fought in. Bad idea. When someone wants to avoid you, giving them a deadline by which they need to contact you is pointless, if not embarrassingly stupid.

I honestly started to believe they were in talks for a fight...the constant direct trash talk from both sides and shit. Guess it was just wishful thinking. i think floyd can accept losing his 0 to khan or to maidana or ??? but not to pac.... for then it will take off some of the pressure on him... or he will opt to keep his 0 and go to the sunset without fighting pac.... or the lure of doing something so noble as doing big charity may appeal to him... i don't think floyd is really that bad egg

Why do people conveniently ignore the fact that IT WAS FLOYD who started making fun of Pac's finances and saying that Pac only wants to fight him because he's desperate for money? Pac is simply stating that it's NOT about desperation and to prove this he's willing to fight for charity. He just wants to give the fans what they want. Are people really that slow on this board? Floyd is a Golden Boy Promotions fighter, whether Floyd fans like it or not. Just like Pacquiao is with Top Rank and they let him mention his MP promotions during introductions. Floyd is NOT his own boss, there are three guys that have say so in his career: Schaefer Ellerbe Haymon Huey! Yes Floyd has put up roadblocks and Manny and company has done the exact samething it's a two way street. Sergio and any other fighter in the world would say yes to a Mayweather fight which why Bernard Hopkins said he drop back down to 160 and roy Jones offered a fight at 170 they all want the payday. Sergio called out two welterweights but won't go up to 168 it had nothing to do with being great he wanted the payday. Point is that Floyd doesn't do risky fights!

Sorry but after 4 years of Manny wanting and Floyd putting roadblocks after roadblocks you can't be saying that Floyd wants this. He even admitted to that on several occasions. Sorry but if he did it once at 154 and goes back to the well two more times and holds a title there then that means that he will only go up there when he knows that he can win a relatively easy fight. Martinez would have said OK in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and even today at 2014 but it's more than likely too late to try to go down to 154 considering his age.
