You show your blatant bias again. ANYONE that thinks that was a viable matchup is just as bad as someone espousing the virtues of a Floyd-Khan matchup.
I agree. Pacman/Margarito was thee single, worst ppv fight where a pfp top fighter was involved ever. But Floyd/Khan is right behind it. Neither are excusable.
You cannot criticize one and defend the other. To even try it is comical.
I didnt mind the margs-manny fight that much,,, margs was huge compared to manny and i was interested to see how manny could deal with the size,, It wasnt the greatest matchup, but nowhere near as bad as this one

I wouldnt mind this fight so much if floyd was fighting 3-4 times a year, and it was a stay busy type fight for good money,,
But to make it the centerpiece of the biggest boxing weekend of the year is just silly
Well said.fights rarely and fights ,khan there is no way justifying it.
Pac/rios and pac/mosley were worse then Pac/Margo.... and you said only ppv worse??? you do know Chavez jr was on ppv early in his career right??? and you do kn ow Jones-Hopkins 2 was ppv to right??
Fk outta here. Isn't he p4p best? Doesn't he and all his nut hugging fans such as yourself claim he is the greatest? He keeps picking horrible opponents (except Canelo). Guerrero was as bad as Rios, Juan Manuel Marquez another lightweight, Baldomir, Gatti should I say more. He doesn't represent that P4P status well, fk him and his dumb ass fans that sk his nuts cuz he's black. Im a boxing fan fk nationality of the boxer.
I think it's a good measuring stick for Floyd's power. Most everybody is predicting a Floyd knockout, but if he can't take Amir out then it probably would come into question. That may be the biggest risk in taking the fight, if Floyd can't deliver versus Amir, it's not a good look.
Let's be fair Joe was helping Floyd out in that fight. Every time Hatton would get in the pocket seconds later Joe would break them up
No . Hatton lost to a better fighter period. Floyd caught him multiple times with that same left hook setup that ko'd him , Hatton never picked up on it. If Hatton couldn't do sh*t , it's his own fault.
Crap fight. Not sure why anyone is still trying to find any legit poster who would justify it. It won't happen. It's a poor fight through and through. It'd be good as a free hbo feature I guess.
Exactly man, I could easily get interested in this fight under different circumstances.
and as far as that year off, do you know how much time he spends at hunter's gym? If that is what he's been doing this whole time then maybe it isn't such a bad thing
I hear he has been in the gym a lot, working on things. It's something he never used to do, he'd never train when he wasn't fighting. So yeah it could be a positive thing. I still don't think a year out is ever really a good thing for a young fighter like Khan.
As a Khan fan, I've always wanted to see him face Mayweather and I've always thought that if he was on his game, he could present Floyd with some interesting issues.
But it's a poor match-up in terms of the timing. Khan looked terrible in his last fight and will have been out of the ring for over a year. Mayweather deserves all the sh1t he's going to get for selecting this fight.

lol you said it bro, not me. Joe Cortez was referee in both fights and both fights were mired in controversy. The big question is can Floyd secure a knockout win without Joe Cortez's help. I think he needs old Joe to help him out again.
You still haven't recovered from the Hatton destruction ?:rofl: Let it go man.
Why are you even in this thread??? you seem to think this is a good damn fight with Khan having a great chance....

To hear your thoughts on the potential bout. Given your one of Floyd's most loyal sta..fans I thought you may have defended the fight but it would appear that even his biggest fans do not support this fight.
Personally, I do think Khan can surprise people and I think it's at least going to be a great event (hopefully with Maidana-Broner II on the undercard).

Talk to me about your thoughts on the Khan fight Larry, will Floyd be able to get his first knockout in nearly a decade without Joe Cortez?

Huge Floyd fan here but there's no way in hell this fight is justifiable. Khan just hasn't done anything at WW to warrant a bout with Little Floyd. Beating Molina and squeaking by Diaz does NOT give you a shot at Floyd.
