Yeah but its not like he was some schmo off the street he was an outstanding amatuer in fact one of the best ever
I think he would have been better off turning pro at 20 or 21. Then when he is in his physical prime at 25 to29 years old he has lots of pro experience. He did very will considering his late start. Being in prison forced Hopkins to turn pro at about 30 years old I think. Fighters are always better off to turn pro at a young age and do their fighting while they are young and retire young without as much damage to their health.

hes still fighting, saw a Heavyweight fight of him recently playin up to the crowd after he won. good fight. hes ranked at heavyweight now. speaks well.
