I won't post his name but one of David Tua's former trainers posts here.
I'm kind of a nobody amateur. My record's not good enough to want to say my name lol
I have a lot in common with championship boxers though. I combine Berto's footwork with Wladimir's inside fighting ability and probably a little bit of David Haye's work rate and Tommy Hearns's...height. #FUTUREHOF
I think theres three on this forum You, Me and a gentleman in either Mexico or Texas not sure which. I've been retired for some time now but I do advise trainers & fighters via email and on two forums.
Whats up? Ray.
How the hell can this be the most popular boxing site on the web in the world, yet only have 3 people actually in the sport from millions of users.. Only an idiot could think there was only 3 people:pat:
That's really cool, mine was Tyson/Ruddock 1.
And not long after that I met James Buddy Mcgirt before he lost to Simon Brown I think it was.
That made a real impression on me and have been a loyal fan ever since. In fact, to be honest I really don't watch any other sport.
Buddy actually beat Simon in what was a masterful performance
i remember my first fight i watched, i was about 5 but my dad was real excited for it
it was Humberto "La Chiquita" Gonzalez vs Michael Carbajal, it was on Univision, i became a fan of boxing since

Good Questions! I am curious as well because it is a lot of guys here who think they know more than Trainers, Managers and Promoters :lol1:
Me Personally, I am just a Hardcore Longtime Boxing Fan!
Do u remember the first fight u ever watched on TV??

Had some amateur fights on the undercards of professional promotions with a view to maybe trying out the pro game, & one of my trainers was a promoter.
Decided it was too much hard work/risk....
You've got to spend years building up in small shows/undercards with little reward and no guarantee you are ever going to make it to the serious stakes. & make a decent living out of it.
Lot of admiration for the guys that keep at it, but the constant training was too tough for me, so it's more of a hobby these days to keep in shape.
Great contribution to a thread that was beginning to cave into the trolls. :fing02:
Boxing on any level is tough, but as you climb the ladder closer to the top it becomes incredibly difficult. I have a lot of respect for professional fighters.
