I don't think Thurman is great but I'd be willing to bet he'd wreck Maidana. This. Thurman destroys Maidana. If you think Khan or Ortiz dropped Maidana hard, Thurman would do it and finish the job. Marcos is not hard to hit, weak to the body and he's at a size disadvantage, and more importantly Thurman can move and fight on the backfoot. Maidana has a puncher's chance in that fight, no more.

Thurman has looked good against bums, no offense. Maidana would be a big step up in class. Sure, Thurman has good movement and good power. But, I think Maidana would stay on him the whole fight, and it would be a violent fight. I don't really know if Thurman clinches, I don't think I saw him clinch last night. I respect him for this and that is what good boxing should look like, not how these other idiots clinch the entire g*damn fight. Boxing is hit and don't get hit, not don't get hit and clinch. Anyway, this is definitely a good match, either way. I wanna see it, and I would root for Maidana. Thurman just seems to fight to jittery when he is boxing and moving, a good way to lose a lot of energy and possibly gas in the later rounds.

I think Thurman wins by UD in a hotly contested fight. That's the fight that NEEDS to happen next!!

I can't believe how people still underrate maidana. Thurman has not faced the adversity maidana has and persevere. You saw soto karass stagger him with an overhand right if that was chino it would have been good night. Thurman is pretty good but to say he's just going to walk thru a monster like chino is outright delusional. Nevermind the fact that Chino disposed of Karass much easier.

I dunno, the fight with Soto Karass was quite difficult for him the first few rounds. Maidana hits harder, is harder to hit, and more accurate than Karass, but just as awkward. Definitely a fight I want to see.

Too much respect for chino to call it a ko but Thurman beats him every time. Bad matchup. (For Chino, great for fans) Thurman has stone hands, body work and vicious counters are trouble for Maidana. Maidana should go after Paulie. Beat him up and try to get Floyd. Avoid Thurman and Porter

Even fight early, Thurman takes over and either wins the decision or gets the late stoppage. He would need to be careful or Maidana might blast him in the first half of the fight.
