There seems to be alot of criticism directed at Manny Pacquiao for not getting the knockout over Rios, which Is a little surprising considering Rios has an amazing chin(which Is an understatement). Manny put on a beautiful boxing display, landed beautiful hard combinations and was lightning fast and had good footwork, so I guess my question Is what would Mayweather have done against Rios that Pacquiao didn't or couldn't do.

Nobody criticized Pac. Rios was the one that got criticized.
Floyd would've stood flat footed more.
Mayweather would've been far more aggressive & would have gone for the kill, no doubt about it. Floyd's counters are far more effective than Manny's, and Rios would have been out of there by the later rounds.
the same way he went for the kill against Robert Guerrero?
Rios probably beats floyd
Once Rios feels his power he knows he has nothing to worry about and won't be scared to open up. He'll walk floyd down and throw close to 100 punches a round like the old Rios.
And lets not forget that Pacquiao has better footwork and head movement than floyd. Rios wins 8-4
Look up "hate" in the dictionary and you will see a reference to this very quote. You should never comment about boxing again.
Rios was a blown up Lightweight who looked like trash at LWW, cut that **** out...............
Yes, Rios is obviously limited, but what is the point of calling him a blown up lightweight? Paq is also a blown up lightweight. Anyone thinking Paq would be bigger than Rios simply isnt paying attention. In his last fight at 140 against Alvarado, Rios was 161 on fight night, against Paq he was 159. Paq has never been more than 152 at most on fight night.
He never had huge pop, he was always a accumulation fighter something he forgot post Hatton......
Even vs Cotto he aint get a legit ko, it was a frivolous stoppage after a missed shot with like 30 seconds
Manny is not some big power guy, and he should be embarrassed that he wasn't able to ko a blown up lightweight, Oscar fresh out of rehab can roll out the bed and ko a trash fighter like Rios early. Manny gets zero props for the win, far lesser fighters have made far easier work of Rios, and didnt have the luxury of fighting him outside his suitable division
Ok, this is my last answer. I respect your opinions, but we're clearly not seeing eye to eye. First of all, I don't get why you think Manny should be "embarrassed." Second, look at these guys after they fight Pacquiao. Look at their faces. These fighters react once they feel his power. Clottey said himself it's a mistake to think Pacquiao can't hurt you. He may not have that incredible one punch knockout power but he has clearly shown to have devastating punching ability. Also, when has Rios been that thoroughly destroyed? I admit it was a fight he should have won, but he was dominant against a game opponent and former champion. The guy hasn't fought in a year and was KO'd last time out. I think he was owed a fight to see where he stands.
Watch yourself.
Watch yourself. Ask Marquez why he didn't do VADA testing for Bradley, but Bradley did. Ask yourself how he keeps gaining power and speed at age 40yrsold. He knew he couldn't deal with Manny without bringing something extra to the ring. You must be a Marquez fan. Are you upset because we all question his physique and strength coach selection this late in his career? He hates Manny and wasn't impressed with what he did Saturday. Smh. He's a hater and **** him!
"Pacquiao is known as a devastating puncher."
Manny is a dynamic puncher, not a devastating puncher. Hearns was a devastating puncher, Foreman, Julian Jackson, and Tito where devastating punchers. Manny is a dynamic puncher who punches with full power for 12 rounds. His stamina allows him to do that and his speed, which translates into surprising power, also. Did you hear how thunderous those shots were? He can definitely punch. For his size, he has above average power. If he hit some other welterweight with some of those same shots, he may have dropped or stopped them. Rios has an amazing chin and wasn't going to be stopped Saturday; not by Manny or Mayweather or anyone else. Don't always be fooled by prefight banter or what everyone says, use common sense when assessing a situation, or in this case, a fighter's power. Manny punches much harder than Bradley, Mayweather, Roidquez, Khan, Broner, and a slew of others. All of this steroid talk some years back was started by Floyd and Floyd only. Notice how he has always wore guys down with activity, relentlessness, and stamina. It was never one punch knockouts. Marquez is on Roids, not Manny. People just love to hate when you're on top.
Read your post up to "Marquez is on Roids, not Manny."
Now read the last sentence. "People just love to hate on the wrong people." ( Caught it before you changed it)
Now look in the mirror.
Now punch yourself in the face.
Dynamic puncher.

Rios has definitely outgrown the lightweight division, and what does that have to do with Rios' toughness and ability to take a punch? It's not like Pacquiao is some huge guy anyway. Had Rios opened up more instead of staying in his defensive shell, he probably would have been stopped. He admitted he didn't throw as much because he was concerned with being countered. If you want to criticize Pacquiao because you think he's lost some of his killer instinct, I'll except that, but if the notion is that Pacquiao doesn't have power, then that's just ridiculous.

Had they let that fight continue, Ortiz would've been asking the ref for Marquez's number so he could order a TemperPedic mattress to lay down for a quick nap.
Ooooo...That was eyewateringly bad.:lol1:

That was the best Manny had looked on years imo. Granted, Rios isn't s very good fighter, but Manny looked superb. Only critique I would have, as others have, is his lack of inside game. Floyd would be able to deal with Rios inside better than Pac did. He looked a bit helpless at times when Rios find his way inside. Overall great performance though.
Well the criticism is of Pacquiao's "lack of a killer instinct" from a fighter who typically goes for the knockout. Mayweather doesn't have that style. For Pacquiao to let someone off the hook is a bigger deal than Mayweather doing the same. I personally don't think it's a big deal. First of all, people tend to forget that Pacquiao is constantly fighting bigger men. Also, look who he's fought since the his last stoppage (Cotto): Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez twice, Bradley and Rios. It's not like these guys are easy to be put away even against fighters their own size. Pacquiao is hurting every single one of these guys, and that Margarito fight should have been stopped. He almost killed the guy.

He still got knockout power. The last few opponents didn't demand their getting KO'd.
You don't want to bring out the Pretty Boy Floyd in that ring.
