Besides Warrios; is there anyone who truly believes Manny is going to be defeated by Brandon Rios? Rios arguably lost to Abril, couldn't adjust to Mike Alvarado and is one dimensional showing little or no head movement. How many people give him a shot?
And to be blunt, he sounds punch drunk already and just doesn't have the IQ to beat Manny. I can't find a single thing to trouble Pacquiao about Rios.
Nooooope...if he pulls the upset, I'll try to be the first to say I was wrong...I just don't see a smaller version of Margarito not getting the same if not worse, treatment!! No matter what you spin you Pac fans try to put on this fight...Rios is tailor made for what Pac brings to the table.
Well be happy Cotto wasn't going to make himself available to be weight drained so Manny had no choice but to pick Rios. Hopefully another light weight cherry pick puts Manny to sleep again and retires this hypejob:boxing:
are you comparing Canelo to Rios??? the guy was outboxed by Abril for god sake
Do I need to explain it to you? I guess I do. Larry said that "Arum is aware of Rios's shortcomings" and that is why the fight was made.
Well, Larry being a big Floyd fan should realize by now that Floyd cherry picks his opponents by taking on a fight where there is high reward and relatively low risks. Before the fight, worse comments were coming from the Floyd team. All I did was state the facts. Those were statements that came from Floyd and his team ..... NOT ME!!!
Now Manny is having a comeback fight but "Money Team" poster, in this thread and others don't bring that up. Nor does he realize Floyd's cherry picks.
***** happens. I didn't give Darchinyan a chance in hell with Donaire and he almost pulled it off. Donaire wasn't coming off being starched either. Rios can fight. But unless Pac's chin's cracked, Rios should be built for Pacquiao to beat the crap out of.
Rios struggled with and lost to Abril and Alvarado, he has zero chance against even a faded Pacquiao
So long as Manny comes into this fight in top shape and prepared to go 12 rounds, I see Robert Garcia throwing in the towel or a RTD by the 10th round
- "We are fully aware of Canelo's weaknesses (fights flat-footed, stamina issues, low work rate...) and Floyd is going to take advantage of them" - Mayweather Team
- "It's not our fault that Canelo's stupid manager accepted the CW .... were supposed to take those kind of advantages if it's given to us" - Ellerbe
- "Losing weight was the hardest part of my training" - Canelo
- "He is going to move? We want Canelo to move. He has stamina issues .... lol " - Floyd SR
- "Who is Guerrero? What has he done? I'm no Berto!" - Floyd Jr

Hell Arum told you why Rios got the damn fight on 24/7 "he comes forward and loves to fight"
Rios is a stupid, plodding 1 dimensional fighter...if Manny somehow loses to him he doesnt ever need to look at a pair of boxing gloves again because he would be beyond shot

Paul Williams was knocked out cold by Martinez with one mighty punch in almost the exact same way Pacquiao was knocked out by Marquez. In his next fight he was hit with many flush powerful punches by good puncher Lara and he took them well and his chin seemed as good as ever.I think a fighter's ability to take hard head punches would be hurt more be a bad beating over many rounds than it would by a one punch knock out loss. The vicious beating Trinidad gave David Reid, Mayorga and Vargas seemed to badly hurt their ability to take a punch in future fights. I think Pacquiao's chin will be about the same as it was in his last fight with Marquez. If Rios can hit him when Pacquiao is rushing in and hit him as hard and as perfectly as Marquez hit him then he will knock Pacquiao out again. I think the chances of that happening are very slim. It's much more likely that Pacquiao proves his superiority by beating the hell out of Rios and wins by KO.
i know Pac is better in every way but I gotta go with the Hi-Power Soldier on this one, and I will take up to 3 bets (of 33millions each) that Rios beats Pac, although I like Pac more, I want to support the homie Rios this one time! pm me if interested. :boxing:
I really don't know about this one. Rios is better than what people give him credit for. His style is a lot like Margarito's but he has better hand speed and he is a better boxer than he gets credit for. He beat down Adrian Peterson which was a little impressive.
The sad thing about this fight, if Rios does win people won't give him credit and will just say Pac is shot.
