Man i was gona scroll down and post something just like this when I saw your comment, seriously ***** u one of the best posters here.
I can't believe people call it a wrap scandal, all that happened was that Tito's hands had been wrapped or I should say over wrapped and they then re-wrapped them.
There was no plaster or any other illegal or foreign substance in the gloves or the gauge. WTF is this scandal? It's laughable.
Tito still maintained his power but fought at higher weights after Hopkins and was never going to be able to stop guys like Jones or Winky, considering Tito's best days were not only years earlier but pounds earlier too.
In terms of this fight, Pac is faster, better combinations and better movement but Tito is bigger, stronger and hits harder, it's a war which ever way you look at it. I see it going any of 3 ways:
Pac UD/SD
Tito UD/SD
Tito by KO in the late rounds
But this is so close there is noway in hell I'm gona sit here and say "such and such thing DEFINITELY happens". It's just that damn close.
I personally believe Tito has an easier time with Floyd/Bradley/Guerrero/Ortiz/Judah/Berto/Cotto and some of the other leading "names" in the division over the last few years. WWs seem to be getting smaller.
But there's a few who'd give Tito a tougher fight than Pac and possibly beat him, Mosley (but his juicing pours doubt over everything he did), Margarito, primed, strong and hungry...again his own scandal makes things more difficult to ascertain and the most underrated of the lot, Williams. Now those are fights I would have loved to have seen.
Thanks man,,,
Yeah i never understood the wrap scandal with tito,, everyone gets to watch you wrap hands, and pernell, oscar, vargas, joppy etc, none ever complained,, hopkins made that dude rewrap because they didnt see it get done,, It is nothing like the margs situation....
I think tito would destroy all the welters today except for floyd and manny, those would be pick'em fights
tito was a beautiful boxer-puncher,, one of my all time favorites to watch
His hook didnt disappear after the wraps scandel,, he fought hopkins, cherifi, mayorga, winky, jones,,,
hopkins-- nobody stops him, so not worried that tito didnt
cherefi- tito beat him up like tito should have done, and ko'd him
mayorga-- richardo has a great chin but tito's bombs over the course of the fight destroyed mayorga
winky- like hopkins, no one is stopping a prime winky
jones- this was a light heavy and tito was competitive but def out of his league and weight class,,,
I dont understand how people can say tito's power disappeared,, tito on his best day with his "wraps" would never ko hopkins, winky, and jones at 170,, Tito crushing cherefi and mayorga proved to me he still had insane power,,,

Tito by ko, lets be real at WW Pac has no chance.
I remember when Pac was at his apex and some some were picking him over Tommy Hearns HAHAHAHA
:lol1: I remember those days lol
Pac wouldn't have to look for Tito....it's hard for me to pick against Pac in a fight when his opponent will come right at him...but Tito was a f*cking monster at WW.....nice fantasy fight :fing02:
I think Pacquiao stops him at welterweight, I don't think that was Trinidads best weight. Cortes a fighter that fights similar to Pacquiao almost knocked him out at the end second round with 1 shot.
It says PRIME Tito not 19 year old Tito.

Trinidad was 19 years old in his 16th pro fight against a veteran. It's ridiculous to use that as an example unless you want to show Pacquiao at a similar stage in his career.
Roach would study the hell out of oscar/tito and whitaker/tito fights prepping Manny. Tito relied too much on his power and with that he's more 1 dimensional than Manny would ever be. The better trainer wins this fight so I pick Pacman. Also, Tito never fought anyone like Pacquiao at welterweight. I still think he's a greater welterweight than Manny...but Pacman wins by UD, thats if Trinidad's face holds up. The Manny that fought Cotto/Delahoya/Clottey overwhelms.
Manny would not be able to take those punches. The more offensive manny was, the quicker he would get KOed.

Tito would get knocked down, pissed off, and then obliterate Pacquiao into submission.
Just like he did there. Putting Tito down early has proven to be fatal.
Pacquiao has a good chance of pulling off the win against Tito but I'd favor Trinidad. Trinidad does can be outmanuevered and outsped but he has that eraser. Power in both hands. Tito could be caught cold early in his career but Manny does not have the power to knockout Trinidad and if he trades with him, Tito could ko Manny with one shot.
Tito cuts off the ring well, and Manny doesnt do well fighting off the back foot. Tito with his height, reach, and jab would have Manny against the ropes for long spells. In the middle of the ring there wil be moments when Tito looks befuddled especially early on.
In the Mid rounds Tito's body shots and harder shots will begin to bust Manny up. Manny will muster a rally but it will deplete his reserves.
The size and power would be too much with Pacquaio possibly leading on a scorecard or two landing more punches but Tito are harder and have more affect

Tito was a Great WW with insane power. The only fight he looked vulnerable was the de la Hoya fight but he was killing himself to make weight by this time and had already been a title holder for like 5 years. I think PAC was phenomenal upto JWW and is a good WW in a weak era. Tito would be too big and too strong, pacman is small for the weight while i think if it wernt for Hopkins Tito would have cleared out middleweight and could have moved upto supermiddle. Tito by mid round stoppage.
I am a Trinidad fan BUT let's not overrate him here. He had a sick left hook... which disappeared after the wrap scandal. Not trying to be controversial here but just food for thought. Trinidad also had a problem with moving elusive opponents and Pacquiao's movement mixed with his power would pose serious problem for Trinidad.
If I was to put money down on one, I'd put my money on Pacquiao due to his more versatile and dynamic style. Trinidad was more stationary and was shaky on his legs at the beginning of fights which Pacquiao would have also taken advantage of.

tito would eventually catch him and beat him up like he did vs sweet pea,,
it would be a great fight, but tito was outstanding in firefights, and this would be one,,,
tito is much better than cotto, clottey, bradley,,,
I got tito by decision,, maybe a possible stoppage if he caught him just right,,,
Manny would surprise alot of people by being competitive and could even possible knock tito down early when tito was still "cold"
but tito would emerge victorious
