I must have missed the memo, but it seems like these two dudes are getting a pass for publicly and openly avoiding Floyd Mayweather. It's almost unheard of seeing two "young, hungry" fighters nearing their prime, refusing to pursue, not only the biggest, but also the most lucrative challenge available. One because he worships the ground Floyd walks in and wants to keep the money in the "team," whatever the hell that means. The other because he wants to build his own "legacy," although I'm not sure there's a better way of building a greater legacy than taking on the best fighter of this generation. These guys aren't even subtle about it, they were on Showtime yesterday flat out saying they want no part of Floyd. It's like both guys are admitting they stand no chance and rather not even step up. Say what you want about Canelo, but he dared to be great and although he got schooled, he took the challenge even though he had more to lose than these two clowns.
What makes matters worse is that both Garcia and Broner don't even want to fight each other because they're "friends." :thumbsdow
None of them are ready, and they may never be ready to be quite honest. They simply don't have the foot speed to compete and I'm not syaing they're slow, it's just that Floyd is on a different level. Thurman and Bradley on the other hand can keep up at the very least.
castillo didn't exactly have hatton like foot speed and he had success in the first fight.
Garcia and Broner is not gonna fight there big bro and get embarrass on a world stage. Plus GBP knows that Angel Garcia might drop the N bomb again like he did to Judah.

they can't duck him when they hold titles of their own
as long as they're taking good fights, you can't complain
if Floyd challenged them and they declined, it's a different story
neither would have any excuse not to fight him
Broner would think he does since he's glued to Floyd's nutsac
but it wouldn't cut it legitimately
I didnt know that there was an outcry for Garcia or Broner to fight Floyd. Neither has done nothing at 147 that would be considered Floyd's next foe.
If the take the match and lose then the cry is going to be that there were to green or simply not ready for that kind of match.
Why bottle neck yourself for a match with Floyd, they will make more money if Floyd goes after them than just waiting around for a shot. If the public wants to see the fight is when it is a successful event.
Good thread, I was giving Garcia a pass because that article that came out yesterday made it seem like Angel and Danny didn't want the fight YET, and that they wanted time to properly prepare to make 147 and be comfortable at that weight. And only then they would fight Floyd. But the most recent article that came out made it seem like Danny doesn't want Floyd whatsoever. He said he can have his own legacy without fighting him, while keeping his "0"
It's pretty disturbing. And because of things like this, we're getting Khan vs Mayweather next
you didn't care when we had to endure other fights because of needle fear or stadium development or rejection of $40 mil. Yet now suddenly its a problem.
It's pretty clear to me Danny has been told to say that bull**** by Golden Boy so he can temporarily step aside for Khan. Then they could say "Danny isn't interested in Mayweather right now and only Khan was willing to step up"
Not a bad theory.
Neither have a chance. Danny deserves a chance but it's not good right now. At least not until he fights at 147.
However, Broner Khan is the fight that should happen.

Broner and Garcia are being big time d!!! Riders on mayweather. It's unbelievable the reason you fight is to be the best. So if u have and opportunity to fight to the best you do it. That's how u go down in history and create ure self a legacy. Straight b!!! Mode.
That's how I feel, but I guess it's okay for Garcia and Broner to get passes here from certain fans because they're "not ready." Both guys clearly don't want a Floyd Mayweather fight, a shot at greatness and the most lucrative paycheck they'll ever receive.
As I've mentioned to ad nauseam, Canelo stepped up and dared to be great. Garcia and Broner combined don't have anywhere near Alvarez' fanbase or superstar potential but he had no problem challenging Floyd and getting inside the ring with him, putting it all on the line.
Garcia is the man at 140 but is making no attempts to even whisper the possibility of fighting Floyd because he has his own "legacy" to attend to apparently. Meanwhile, Broner wins a belt in the same division but can't fight "big bro" because they're long lost relatives in his own delusional mind and he's complacent with sniffing Floyds sparring gear after he's done with a workout.
That's why Thurman is my dog at 147, the guy has been kicking ass and calling out Floyd since his 15th fight lol.
source?..when?I read that Garcia would fight Broner if his advisor Al Haymon wanted him to on Boxing Scene top headlines sometime recently in an interview. I don't make sh*t up.
