Was watching the fight will my dad (I'm 3rd generation boxing fan) and my dad said the Wilder vs Firtha fight looked like a baby giraffe vs a baby hippo but the giraffe is lucky because he hits like a baby elephant. LOL
Then he said the same thing I was thinking, "Wilder kept his cool and did the job, and all of those fights have calmed his nerves but has not done too much for his technique and to keep feeding him cans until he can cash out with a big fight and hell who knows he's got fast hands and power so he has a punchers chance against almost anyone".
I agree, what are your thoughts?
wilder looked horrible. when he throws punches he throws them and doesnt cover up or move his head afterwards to avoid counter shots. all he has is a one two, arreola, thompson, banks or even chazz witherspoon knock him out within 6 rounds. its a pity, he seems like a nice guy
Does Firtha have any power? his record doesn't suggest so.
Wilder is exciting though, I'll give him that much. I'd watch Wilder v Wlad, guaranteed KO one way or the other.
I believe he had Tyson fury rocked
Wilder look composed. I didn't like how he got stunned from a jab in the first round...But maybe he just wasn't expecting that fast of a start.
Either way he seems to have a ton of potential. His right hand is a nuclear bomb. I don't think anyone can repeatedly take those overhand/straight rights he throws. It's time for him to step up and fight a gate keeper... Someone like Chris Arreola or Tony Thompson should last more than 4 rounds and will give him a good test.
His stamina is the big question now. He seem to have adjusted to pro boxing a lot better than a guy like Seth Mitchell who would get rocked from any clean hit he took...Now I just wanna see how he much gas he has for 10 rounds...
Pay attention to the footing while you watch, you'll notice if you have don't have Miguel Cotto fundamentals.. you will get caught off balance.
I remember a coach teaching my first week at the gym, when you step either way move the corresponding foot first.. once your feet are near each other or go criss-cross and you catch a punch.. you better have a chin like Pacquiao when he got caught in mid air with a lethal left hook from Marquez.

fitha is horrible im the first to not disrespect a boxer he tried his best but he didnt belong in shotime .. he was gassed out after 1 looked lost in there flabby unathletic horrible man out of shape no snap to his punches ... theres light heavy out there that would beat firtha .. im dead serious too ... wilder is needs to step up in to fight someone in the top 30 hw im telling you right now he is another seth mitchell .. goldenboy trying there best theres a reason he about near 30 years old and has not fought a 60-40 fight
