In a past fight what 24/7 series would you have died for??
il throw in some examples:
Duran vs Leonard
For initial fight the training regimes would have been immense!
For the second we would've seen a ****y Duran partying! And Leonard incolved solely on training!
Hagler vs hearns
Just to hear their thoughts, their trainers thoughts, sparring!
Roy jones vs toney
Two big big egos and pound for pound stars! The confidence of both men going into this fight would've been interesting to see! And I would've loved to have seen their training methods (toney training hard in KFC)
Joe Louis - max schmeling 2
Because schmeling had taken Louis' undefeated record and because Louis had became arguably the greatest heavyweight ever. Also because of the way the German/nazi media was trying to portray schmeling, which was a huge contrast to the real person, it would have been great to see how he would portray himself. The atmosphe in Louis camp must have been electric, a chance to avenge your only loss, a chance to further be accepted by 'white' America, a chance to notch a win for the free world over the nazi regime. The pressure in both camps, for the fighters themselves and also from a political standpoint would have made compelling tv.
Barrera- Morales (would've been the best)
Marquez - Morales
Margarito Mayorga
Margarito Mayweather.
althought most none spanish speakers probably didnt like Margarito's 24/7s very much. Theywere great and probably the best. Watching him call Mayweather a coward ducker would make me laugh.
here are some classic moments
