You think she's for real? SMH I guess everyone can be a ****ing boxing judge
Am i the only one who thinkg floyd makes excuses for not knocking out oppenets ? after every fight he sas he hurt his hand or elbow, but yet he says he dislocated his elbow during canelo fight but post fight interview he is moving his arm fine.
I see what you're trying to say but dislocation could be more of a discomfort thing rather than being unable to move the arm at all.

Really??? Really??? Who thought this would be a tough fight? In some bookies Floyd was a 9/1 favourite....9/1 man, what more do you want. Everyone I knew, and I know some trainers and fighters, past and present, said that Floyd would school this kid. Everyone said this fight was a bit too early for Canelo. Everyone said Canelo's stamina was questionable. Everyone said Canelo had maybe, MAYBE, 2 good wins on his resume.
Who thought this was going to be a tough fight? The people selling the fight itself? Yes. The broadcasters? Yes. Drunk latinos? Yes. The educated boxing fan? No. It's as simple as that.
There were several factors that made some boxing experts believe Canelo COULD pose a serious threat to Floyd.
Many people believed that canelo was Floyds toughest opponent to date before the fight.
U picked out just one sentence to object to.
My entire post addressed the fact you were wrong about Floyd running for all 12 rounds, and your notion that for fighters to be mentioned alongside past greats, they need to go to war is also wrong. Its not necessary. A truly great fighter should completely dominate lesser opposition, which is exactly what Floyd has done.
You don't get points for planting your face on the canvas:D
you don't get points stepping sideways on the issue.....he he he
but i watched the fight and floyd deserves a unanimous.....
Canelo won 3 rounds, 8 and 9 amongst them. These were rounds Floyd took off, he literally dropped his work rate to anaemic levels. Watch the fight against, particularly rounds 8-10, Floyd had almost 0 work.
Yes Floyd outboxed Canelo but was that ever in any doubt? Canelo himself blocked really well throughout the fight. Canelo got in some good shots but he was throwing maybe 3 punches ever 10 minutes LOL...Floyd's work rate wasn't much better but it was slightly cleaner. Other great fighters, throughout history, the creme de le creme, would destroy green, punch shy opponents like Canelo. Floyd was content with sparring him. It reminds me a bit of RJJ, but at least RJJ could rely on superhuman power and flashy combinations.
Round 8, especially the last 50 seconds was one of Mayweather's best round if I remember correctly.

A lot of Floyd fans agreed with me when I scored for Bradley vs Pacquiao, I don't know why they're not agreeing with it now.
lol

You've lost your mind. Floyd wasn't 9/1 over Canelo anywhere.
Yall keep saying what Floyd didnt do, he didn't KO Canelo, didnt hurt him , he ran the whole fight blah blah blah, well what the hell did Canelo do to win?.......absolutely nothing. He barely landed anyth. He should be thanking Floyd for that 10-12 mil

I need to watch the fight again. But i am more and more impressed with Floyd.
I cant believe he is being criticised for not beating up Canelo and stopping him. Before the fight, no one believed he could hurt Canelo, and it would be a tough fight. Yet Floyd was hardly touched, and started out as the aggressor.
A blistering attacking style and destruction of an opponent doesnt necessarily make a fighter great. Sometimes its gets fighters hurt, damaged or KTFO.
What floyd does is great. His style isnt about attack. its about ring smarts, precision, focus and adaptability.
I feel just because his style lacks drama, his skills are under appreciated.
The other fighters you mentioned didnt have the same mentality Floyd has. To be smart, and simply out box opponents. Not giving them a chance to score anything clean. They all wanted to go to war and destroy their opponents. Which lead to drama, and them taking punishment. Floyd can dominate without doing that. im not suggesting he is better, but different, and that its not to his detriment as a fighter.

Not as good as fake Bill Walton, but pretty good.
