I go to boxingscene.com and see articles like "Mayweather dominates Canelo"
"Garcia beats up Matthysse"
I saw both those fights too, that's pretty far fetched to call Mayweather dominating Canelo, Mayweather won and deservedly so - but he didn't dominate anyone. most rounds he won by landing 3 more jabs, jabs with nothing behind them. Canelo slipped and rolled the majority of Mayweather punches all night long, Mayweather slipped and rolled pretty much all of Canelos.
That fight was a technical show down and Mayweather edged him. He didn't dominate ****. The MD didn't shock me at all.
As for Garcia vs Matthysse? Garcia ran the majority of the night while Matthysse tried to make it a fight. Once again I'd edge the fight to Garcia, but let's see a rematch. Take away Mattysse's bad luck and give him a few rounds for actually making this a fight, and I'd see it going in his favor, he's the better boxer.
I will say though, Garcia taking those punches from Matthysse was pretty impressive.
Ok I see now. You need to go back and watch the fight. Danny only landed one punch before the swelling. You're clearly a delusional fan smh. Also, no one said its guaranteed for a punch to cause swelling but it's not out of the ordinary. Danny swelling another fighters' eye is irrelevant I hope you understand why. Lucas' nose was busted up as well. Was that bad luck? What do you think happens when you get hit in the eye numerous times and have no enswell?
Yeah, I re-read over what I said and forgot to add the word "significant" between the words "1" and "before"... He only landed 1 significant left hand before the swelling... Everything else was insignificant stuff in clinches and during blurry exchanges
This is what's funny about you... You guys r so quick to draw the "butt-hurt" card, u don't actually pay attention to the point of people try to say... I have to spell everything out and be as clear as possible or ur gonna attack it, instead of focusing on the point, you're gonna focus on little exaggerations here and there, or my off topic comment, or my own personal opinion, etc smh
I'm not taking away from Garcia's win, he swelled Matthysse's eye and took advantage... Nothing wrong with that, it happens, Garcia won the fight
What I was saying was, you can't train to swell someone's eye. Especially in this case, cause other than one fight prior, which was a long time ago, Matthysse didn't have a history of swelling that Garcia could count on... He got lucky, threw the right punch at the right time, and swelled his eye... Unless there was a thumb involved, Garcia couldn't have possibly done it on purpose... If its not done on purpose, that means its done by accident, that means he was lucky it worked out for him...
Can u really argue against that? As a Garcia fan, the best u can do is not pay attention to it like most of the other ones... But I got a feeling you're better than that
Why don't u guys ever separate you're paragraphs?
Danny barely landed his jab, and the hook? I can't think of more than 1 landing before the eye swelled
It happens in boxing sure, but u can't act like its guaranteed... How come he didn't swell anyone else's eye before this fight? Or why didn't Matthysse's eye swell in his wars with Soto and Ajose? Or even in this fight? The swelling happened in a matter of seconds, it wasn't a build up of rounds
Danny just threw the right punch at the right time, caught Matthysse at the right angle and caused swelling... Good luck for Garcia, bad luck for Matthysse
Especially since Matthysse was doing great before it happened

I gotta admit I was wrong about the outcome of the Lucas-Garcia fight, but damn were there some over the top posts prior to the announcement of their bout.
If I could go back and quote each and every one of them I would but they know who they are. Lucas is still one of my favorites and I think he does better in the rematch but Danny proved me wrong and clearly won the fight. A lot of respect to the man.
Honestly, every time Danny landed his hooks and jabs where do you think they were landing. This was not bad luck. It happens in the sport when you get punched in the face often. Also, Matthysse corner didn't use an enswell so they couldn't slow the swelling or reduce it. That played a major factor. Danny landed a few clean, flush shots each round and those punches took a toll on Matthysse's face. Again this wasn't bad luck or no luck. This also wasn't the first time Matthysse's face has swollen up before either. It's just a common trend on here to add luck as a factor in an unexpected win. Danny won because of a great game plan. Stop with the luck talk.

I'm not even a Garcia fan, but dude is legit. The reason the "bad luck" happened to Lucas' face was maybe because.....ummm....Garcia was f**king hitting him! Good god.it's like people still can't believe that their hero was beat in such fashion.
:lol1::lol1:

I think that was the point... No luck
In the end, u can't really train to swell someone's eye unless u train to sneak a thumb in there... Just like the Khan KO Garcia deserves full credit for throwing the right punch at the right time to get the result, but people get punched in the face all the time without anything swelling, than one fight out of nowhere his face gets puffy... Its not like he was landing clean shot after clean shot, e.g. a Pacquiao performance

lucas nose, eye, and entire right part of his face was badly swollen.
his eye was closed shut, he was also dropped in the fight..........the guy was beaten up but fought well for himself. still was beaten up though...........
& canelo vs mayweather was domination............
both statements are true..........
Why when a favorite fighter on this website loses, people site luck as part of the reason for their loss. News flash getting your eye shut in a fight is not luck. It was a tough fight for both men and Danny won clearly.

Mayweather dominated Canelo
Garcia beat up Matthysse
Garcia - Matthysse was a lot closer than the new found Garcia fandom are pretending it was, but Garcia beat him up for quite a few rounds

Why do you believe Matthysse is the better boxer?
1. Journalism 101, catch the attention of the reader. What makes for a more interesting title ''Mayweather dominates Canelo'' or ''Mayweather decisions Canelo''; ''Garcia beats up Matthysse'' or ''Garcia wins against Matthysse''.
2. Mayweather did dominate Canelo, it'd be hard to find one round to give Canelo. That is a domination.
3. Garcia did beat up Matthysse. If someone came out of a fight looking like Matthysse you would not say anything else. His eye was swollen shut and he was caught with crisp hard punches throughout the fight.

Canelo would be lucky to win 2 rounds. Mayweather landed double the percentage that Canelo did, winning my 3 jabs my ass. You are just another butt hurt mexican who cant be honest.
