I hate these muthafockin cable companies. I as a customer should be able to select my own channels and pay for them accordingly AND NOT paying for sh1t channels that I don't wanna watch. WHo the fock watches Turner Class Movie channel?
Me too,and I had Time Warner and Dish..Fios is easy their customer service is excellent and fast(not like TW who get's on the phone with their attitudes)..Time Warner is going out of business soon anyway..I was walking up the street in NYC and they had TW reps offering 200$for you too sign up..You did not even have a time limit on how long you had to keep it..You get 200$$ just for signing up..LMAO..Come on now..I still would not sign up,sh1t still is not worth it..LMAO..
Comcast was the same way once Fios became available in the DMV area. Comcast pays some places not have Fios available in certain areas.
That's not true anymore. Retransmission fees are huge in the broadcasting industry.
I know, but that doesn't make it right.
It's like bank fees, banks charging me to lend my money out at a higher rate than they give me is bs.
Fios is the best cable I've ever had

No chance. That game could likely get 10-15 million viewers on a network like CBS. If Mayweather vs Canelo hit 2.5 million that would be a minimum of 25 million people watching. One pay per view buy usually implies more than one person is watching, it's not one buy per person.
I get what your saying; but I think more people will up seeing the game than the fight.

Likewise, you can have more than one viewer watching an NFL game in a single household. I normally have at least two or three people watching on Sundays at my house.
NFL and college football means to CBS than two Floyd Mayweather fights per year and if I was in the States it would mean more to me also; but I've always had Comcast or Fios cable. The fight could break the PPV record but more still will see the Patriots vs Broncos game.

you have to have ****ty ratings to get dumpped by a cable provider
boxing didn't get dumped you idiot. Showtime and CBS are arguing among themselves about something that has nothing to do with boxing.
Lets see: dexter, borgias, ray Donovan ,weeds, house of lies, shameless, and maybe people here haven't heard of a little show called homeland showtime is actually becoming a better product.
Hbo has two great shows game of thrones, and boardwalk empire and that's it ,maybe true blood.
wait what? i watch ray donovan and dexter every sunday plus boxing twc better pay up with those fiing ridiculous prices they charge their customers
lol, yeah me too. I DVR all of those shows and usally don't hit the bed until around 12AM or so Sunday nights. True Blood at 9 on HBO, DVR Dexter, catch Ray Donovan at 11 after I watch the DVR'd Dexter at 10, then back to HBO to watch the Newsroom......it's an ok show, they do a good job of depicting the atmosphere that you would find in a media mogul.
I have a similar schedule set up for when Boardwalk Empire and Shameless come on as well as Nurse Jackie and House of Lies, Game of Thrones, etc.
The same thing happened to FX last year on Dish TV. Fox went away for like 3 weeks or something because they wanted more money than Dish was willing to pay and there was a giant uproar because people were missing out on NFL. They worked it out in about a month's time.
...but looks like this will be settled before the NFL season starts but will they strike a deal before the Floyd vs. Canelo fight that is all that matters since this is in the Boxing section, our only concern should be that issue
The NFL season starts before Floyd vs. Canelo.
So if this will be settled by Week 1 of the NFL season then that means they will strike a deal before the boxing PPV happens.
All this weak channels like ****etv and Showtime need to make more drama tv shows people like then sh*t..
Showtime only has Dexter , they need to make 6 per week

This was from CNN report basically TMC claims CBS is being greedy but looks like this will be settled before the NFL season starts but will they strike a deal before the Floyd vs. Canelo fight that is all that matters since this is in the Boxing section, our only concern should be that issue:
Time Warner Cable has claimed that CBS is demanding too high a rate -- 600% more than what the cable provider has to pay for the network's programming in other parts of the country. In those areas, Time Warner Cable negotiates with local CBS affiliates that are not owned outright by the network.
CBS says the 600% figure is inaccurate, but has declined to provide more specifics. It said its requests "are far more reasonable and well in line with what the industry is paying for content."
The two sides are very likely to reach a deal at some point, especially if the dispute threatens NFL broadcasts scheduled to air on CBS later this year.
"In the end, of course, an agreement will be reached," CBS said earlier this week.

Buying a $30 convertor box and hooking it up to your TV once isn't complicated.
I'm thinking about buying Madden 25 just so I can watch sunday ticket when I'm at work. There are some benefits to having it "online only"
And TWC holds all the cards. They already called CBS's bluff and they are ready to stand pat. They are already lining up replacement networks to fill the slot. And I don't care either way because it doesn't affect me but CBS needs to realize that they need TW and not the other way around
