For days now I've heard or read people talking about Lara and how that was boxing and only real boxing fans understand. Bull!!! This Cuban school thing truly seems like straight amateur boxing if Lara is a true representation of it because gamboa/ rigo don't fight like that ,they fight w/ balls. Boxing yes is hit and not get hit but Lara was just straight up running, and then u got idiots making fun of canelo for missing badly its because the guy was on a bike out there. He fought like there was a point system. Go back and watch Floyd/corrales , sweet p/de la Hoya , sweet p/ Chavez where people actually made people miss badly with head/body movement ,slipping,ducking punches using real ring generalship. Look if u don't like canelo that's fine but u can't applaud that nonsense Lara displayed because that's not boxing even Cubans can't be proud of that if there honest.

the man said he would fight anyone from 154 - 175 but has only fought bums to this point . I'll give you Quillin might be scared but he sucks to so that fight wouldn't prove anything either. I think Bob realizes Brandon isn't going to get any better and that he's a one trick pony who is coming off a lost but still has gullible fans who like his style. The fight makes sense on that alone , I mean honestly its a win win for that scum Arum because u get one last big fight out of Rios and keep manny relevant or one last money fight for manny and trick casual fans into thinking wow this rios guy. But it will more than likely be the former than the latter because someone explain how this fight will be different than Margarito with manny just destroying rios , so I believe bob is just cashing out with rios.

I'm just curious what people think is the better fight and which one does the better numbers . I think the better fight is Bradley-Marquez easily because canelo would just bust up cotto but bob arum is such a scumbag I don't want any of his ppv to do well and if mayweather doesn't fight sept 14 I hope gbp put in canelo-cotto because I think they do a better number. This board is so funny, you ask the kid to fight somebody legitimate at 154 ,said he would duck trout and all that nonsense but the kid stepped up beat the best in the division and now he'll lose to anyone with a name. Looking around the board and all I see is Lara ,Martinez ,ggg,and even vanes would destroy canelo, how about just give him credit and move on. Some people making a case that trout out worked canelo (what ever that means) do understand that Lara throws hardly any punches and just counterpunches but if you learned anything against trout canelo is faster and a lot better boxer than people thought he was.

some on this board do not have a clue what boxing is saying trout outboxed canelo. rigo , donaire was outboxing , you know hit and not get hit trout got hit throughout, jabbed the air , and only so called "controlled" any of the action when canelo rested. shostats had canelo landing more power punches and trout only landed 30 more total throwing 300 more with canelo clearly landing the more telling blows. this board is no better than those judges because there is nothing but agendas here. canelo clearly won but 118-109 was clearly crazy.

Me personally, I believe that fight would be crazy good. Both great amateur backgrounds ,fast hands, both southpaws, rigo being the counterpoucher while Gary comes forward more plus rigo would be moving up in weight. I think that's a fight Gary should be looking at now while rigo is hot right now and really become a huge star because I think he beats rigo in a very intriguing and exciting FOTY candidate matchup.
