Yes. Chisora is clearly Frank Bruno. He's what we have where a Frank Bruno would have been in his time. Dorkek Chisora is the Ken Norton of the Justin Beiber era.

Bruno's strengths are Chisora's weaknesses and vice versa.

What?! Bruno was a much, much better fighter than Chisora, in every way, and in a much better era too. He also became champ, albeit a paper titlist, against a good fighter. His best wins, Oliver McCall, Gerrie Coetzee, James Quick Tillis, Carl Williams, etc. I'd say he'd knock Chisora out, or at least win a wide decision pretty easily. Before people say Chisora has a better chin, I'm not even sure of that. Vitali's not that hard a puncher, wears you down, while Haye sparked him easily. He's been down quite a few times too. But, most importantly, Chisora isn't having to fight a prime Mike Tyson x2, Lummox Lewis, McCall (he took some big shots and never went down), Witherspoon and Bonecrusher Smith. All of whom were excellent punchers and all were good champions. Apart from McCall, those were his only losses. He never lost against second rate competition. Who's been down quite a few times too? Chisora's only been down twice in his amateur and pro career - and that was against Haye. And really, if you look at it. Chisora has also only been beaten by top competition if you take the era into consideration. He was beaten by Fury (who's ranked in the top 5 with most bodies), Vitali a long time champion and Haye a former CW & HW champion. He beat Helenius who was ranked #1 with the WBO.

But they both have/had mental problems. So that's one thing.

Bruno = nice guy, could punch very hard, couldn't take punches. Chisora = bad guy image, can't punch worth much, has an iron chin. Pretty much exact opposites.

Simply put, I'd have a beer with Frank Bruno. I'd glass Derek Chisora afterward.

Chisora doesn't have much power, has no technique, but gets away with it because he's fighting in a weakly era and has a good chin. Bruno fought in a deep era, could box and had devastating power. A lack of stamina was brunos main problem, even being the nice guy he is he always reminded me of a bully in the ring, great at fighting people who he could push round but faced with someone who could take his power and come back he would eventually fold. This is why his fight against McCall is still one of the best nights in British boxing. The heavyweight landscape would be a lot better if here had more brunos and less chisoras. TRUE BRIT.

Bruno was out boxing a pre prime LL before getting ko'd. Chisora couldn't do that, and Bruno definitely wouldn't have lost to the the likes of Haye, Fury and Hellenius. Bruno was far superior and the problem with Frank wasn't his chin, it was just that he didn't learn to tie up his opponents. His problem was he'd panic, have a brain freeze and forget everything when in trouble. I believe he didn't have the fighters instinct to bite down and fight back, outside the ring he's the kind of person i would think would be least likely to be a fighter.

Pretty much in line with what everyone else said. Bruno was a lower level champ in a considerably better era, he is a much better fighter. If he fought today, he would pose the biggest threat to Wlad and Vitali.
