valero is one of the great WHAT-IFS in boxing... He seemed to have it all, and the gym stories of him torching morales and oscar in sparring are well-known.. He was shaping up to be a modern day roberto duran of the 70's.. Just an aggresive killer in the ring.. Its a shame he was such a scumbag and beat n killed his old lady then killed himself... The hilarious part from you all you herbs crying out that valero fought bums and quality of opposition why hasn't your fighter got 19 first round KO's? Absolutely all fighters get padded records in the beginning and are fed weaker fighters but if that's the case then why don't all these great fighters have 1st round KOs against the absolute bums that they fought? Even though I've always maintained that Valero is overrated, I too think he would spark Matthysse. His boxing acumen coupled with his power would be too much, plus there would be no intimidation factor in that fight. Peterson's fear deserves as much credit in his KO as Matthysse does.

Valero had promise for sure. He'd never faced anyone like Lucas before though. I'd have to go with Lucas.
