To be fair, a few of those opponents Pacman fought in those years were Floyd leftovers..Then that also means Floyd fought Freddie Norwood Leftovers, Pac leftovers, Javier Jauregui leftovers, and anyone else that beat the fighters Mayweather fought before he fought them are leftovers.
Hard to keep a career going when you're fighting top guys twice a year for almost 20 years.
In the last 6 years
Mayweather had 5 fights
Pacquiao had 11 fights
Mayweather went up 1 weight class
Pacquiao went up 4 weight classes
not to mention he fought Fighters Mayweather blatantly ducked.
Which is why Pacquiao is one of the greatest to ever box

And you can't really fault Mayweather from only moving up 1 weight class. What did you expect him to do fight at middleweight? That does not make sense at all.
Floyd said Pac's career is over? He's got a pretty big fight with Rios comin up, with full HBO backing. There's some legs left in that horse.
He would have been more accurate saying Pac is no longer top 5 p4p and he is...anyway im pretty sure he was asked a question about Pac. Reporters can't seem to stop bringing him up to Floyd, and I imagine he got annoyed and said that as a knee jerk reaction.
Who else is HBO gonna back?
Nonito got embarrassed, mikey and GGG are not there yet, gamboa is garbage, ward is inactive, and rest are euros.
HBO and TR are praying Pac beats the 5-6 ranked Jr WW coming off loss.
I was at the press event and his Pacquiao comments were in response to a fan who kept yelling Pacquiao's name. Floyd didn't just bring him up unprompted.
Ok, I get it. It's easier to root for Pacquiao because everyone thinks he's the nicer person. Especially, when you overlook the womanizing and gambling he was doing along the way. However, his career was over when he couldn't win a decision in Vegas against TIMOTHY BRADLEY! That was the boxing gods telling him your services aren't needed any more. The Marquez KO was just the punctuation. If you don't take boxing seriously, and you're a professional fighter your career will suffer. Most of the time it end in a bad way. He might go on and beat Rios but it's time we stop the comparisons between him and Mayweather. Love him or hate him, Floyd Mayweather takes boxing seriously. He's done just as much (if not more) for the sport as Pacquiao. At the end of the day, in my opinion, Mayweather will be remembered as the greater of the two.

Nah it wasn't an interview question he was alone on the mic since all of Golden Boy crew was gone. Waiting for a vid but can't find one as of yet.
I disagree; Floyd is still undefeated and has fought nothing but top notch competition his entire career. Unfortunately, even though Pac fought some of the best in the world, he will always have that JMM knockout blemish on his record. I personally think Floyd's legacy will outlast Pacquiao's.

Totally agree... this is why mayweather is still undefeated.
its easy to pick a fighter's resume apart in retrospect. The same can be done with Manny post Cotto.
Except we talking about this former 106 pro fighter what he is doing at welterweight.
Agreed. That was Floyd's plan all of along. Let Pac fight all these dangerous fights and he will eventually lose and Floyd will look back and say I told you so. Pac should have never fought Margarito that was a dangerous fight and one Floyd wanted no parts of.
We all know Floyd doesnt like to get hit so of course hes not gonna face guys where he knows he might get hit a lot or have a rough fight with.
