for Mathysse so hard.....
He's had a couple of close decisions go against him, and he's a tough rugged guy....
But in all truth he's not an overwhelming favorite against Danny like people would have you believe on this forum....
Danny's not the quickest, but neither is Lucas.... They both hit hard and have great chins....
It's a 50/50 fight... there's no obvious outcome....
stylistically it makes for a great fight....
Garcia already looks like a beaten man to me, mentally defeated before he even gets in the ring. It was bad idea him going to watch Lucas vs Pederson in person.
If Garcia beats Lucas i would be hugely impressed, shocked even. Lucas in under 6 rounds, perhaps even brutally.
Underdog? You need to look that up in the dictionary bro, I dont think you understand what it means.
Matthysse will KO Danny, and maybe BBQ his dog too as a post fight meal.
FerFAL
Lucas isn't getting underdog love now
he's building a rabid fanbase for being a badass
it looks like it's his time right now and he's not stopping for anyone
and Garcia hasn't looked impressive in his title wins vs Terrible and Khan
he won the fights, which is what matters, but looked vulnerable
those guys aren't as vicious as Lucas, Garcia is in for a beating
What's your proof or evidence to back this claim up? Have the betting lines opened up and you got a sneak peak?
the point was that people on this 'forum' are saying mathysse is going to destroy danny.... just read some of the posts in this thread.....
but there's no way he's that much of favorite going into this fight.
If it's a "50/50 fight" how is he an underdog?
he's an underdog because he's had bad decisions go against him.... bad luck, down on his luck and has come back to becoming a no. 1 contender.
Matthysse can get either a rugged decision like he deserved against Judah and Alexander (both defensive runners, which Garcia is not)
Or he can win by devastating KO
Garcia can win a decision if he puts together a flawless gameplan, and could win by KO with he lands a devastating counter left and Matthysse doesn't take it as well as I expect...
But Lucas' options are much more open ended... Garcia's gameplan has to be flawless, and that doesn't count for Lucas' boxing skill. And its still debatable whether or not a big left hook counter can hurt Lucas
GREAT FUCKING FIGHT
Sure if its a ''50/50'' just make sure you give Lucas his due when he knocks Garcia out inside 3-4 rounds.
No back tracking like many did when Soto vs Lucas was a 50/50, Lucas vs Peterson was a 50/50 etc
I thought Lucas Peterson was 50 50 imo and Matthysse went in there and ****ed him up and he gets all the credit I could give lol.
Now I want to see Matthysse Garcia to see who is the real top dog

Despite the response Matthyse has received here on this forum, and his rapidly growing fan base, I feel he is still one of the most underrated fighters in the sport.
He's significantly better than Garcia, and would undoubtedly present a huge challenge for anyone near his weight class, whether that be Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, or whomever.
A lot of people think Matthyse is living off of pure power and aggression, but nothing could be further from the truth. Matthyse is a master at figuring out and exposing his opponent's weaknesses.
Not only that, but Matthyse is brilliant at setting up the opponent. He tests his opponents with different punches and looks and creates his own opportunity to blast them.
I'll tell you another thing, Matthyse has already gotten in a lot of fighter's heads, which may make it difficult for him to get big names in the ring in the future.
That said, Garcia really has no choice but to fight Matthyse at this stage. If he doesn't, he'll be branded a coward and Matthyse will surpass him as an earner in the sport.
Mark it down.
Since when has Matthysse taken solid shots from someone who wasn't feather-fisted? Danny's chin is actually proven. At this stage, Lucas's is just a myth. Khan, who's power was enough to make Judah quit, was connecting at will on Danny and he didn't even wobble. Matthysse didn't face the same Peterson that beat Khan, you could see before the bell Lamont looked in bad shape. Everyone's rooting for Matthysse because they actually believe he'd have a chance against Floyd (LMFAO)
Khan has fast hand-speed, but he's not a puncher.
