So he just recently signed Murata and he's building Shiming, that's 2 2012 gold medalists here. He's also grabbing some Filipino prospects and building up the Penelosa brothers.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Murata make his debut on the Macau card coming up or some event in the future.
Seems like he's making a real push here
If the Pac event is a success, did he find the pot of gold?
i think it's more money to be regular tv in china than ppv.
a huge tv audience gets big ad buys.
american tv doesn't get huge ad buys for boxing on tv so ppv is more profitable.
It's gonna be a PPV in China though. First one ever, at $5 a pop.
Shiming is. They're piggybacking on each other, Pac brings HBO and creds, Shiming brings China. The Chinese get to catch Pac Rios on their first PPV. Poor everybody.

so if the chinese buy the ppv with pac and it does 200 million ppvs?
Is pac the new ppv king?
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
macau has nothing to do with ppv.
what does a casino care about how many ppl watch it on tv?
they pay site fees to promote their casino and get ppl to come to the city to gamble.
pretty sure the times will still be geared for american ppv audience.

arum already had a successful macau event.
it was their test run to see if a macau event was feasible.
it obviously was or else they wouldn't have made pac fight.
vegas is breadbasket of boxing.
macau casinos make multiple times more money than vegas.
it's just a question of macau casinos wanting to get in the game.
vegas needs big fights. macau doesn't.
but if boxing events can attract more customers like it does vegas, expect more macau events in the future.
lmfao
if you think top rank is struggling you don't know anything about the sport.
arum makes money. it's what he do.
big cards, small cards, big ppv, small ppv, big stadiums, small venues.
top rank makes money.
let me guess, you think because TR big name fighters lost recently you thing TR is losing money?
that's because you're a moron.

Bob will gain control of Asian sports by having the Pacman fighting picked opposition before huge audiences in the east. Over time, as his stable grows and access to good black-market organs and such keep him going like the Energizer Bunny, he will gain great cultural influence.
At some point, after Pac has become the biggest star of any kind in all of Asia, Bob will engineer a great retirement victory to launch Pac's presidential candidacy. 12-18 months later Bob will become de facto ruler of the Phillipines, one of Asia's rising Tigers.
Bob the Builder indeed...:headbang:
Other than what they have at 140, TR is struggling in the U.S. Hope Asia works out for them but it's going to be a longer road than I think Bob would want.
This may be the final push to keep their company alive. Personally, I think it's been a good run and TR will be gone before we know it.

The Pac event in Macau will give a good level of if it's worth it or not.
Right now, it's looking good with Shiming.... but if it'll really bring money in will be determined if an average Chinese citizen would bother dropping 5 bucks on a PPV

i mean there's only like over 2 billion of them.....

khans not even a middle easterner hes pakistani but yeah theres millions of pakistanis in the arab world it makes sense they would buy tickets and ppvs
Murata is going to be a star. I will go as far as to say he will be the greatest asian middleweight of all time when his career is over.
How many have even won MW titles?
Ceferino Garcia is the only one I know and he's the greatest Filipino MW of all time
it sounds promising because of the population but boxing in china is like what bowling is to the uk (not very popular)
you have a very valid point up there....
i think arum is counting on putting in celebrated local fighters in the region to win china's market....remember the chinese are prime lovers of the art of fighting and they may opt to have a taste of boxing.....
Smart move but nowdays every big company triyng to invade China to get a piece of the pie.
WBC already making moves. I think any vacant belt they have and any chinese person they have near the rankings will get a shot.
That's how Zhong got his
