With only two fights at welterweight.
HIstory repeats itself again.
2007, fights oscar at 154 doesnt fight winky wright even though he talked smacked about fighting him instead goes back down to 147 and fights a career 140 pounder in ricky hatton.
Is Floyd going to fight Canelo? I dont know. There's already talk of "retirement" kinda like when he "retired" after beating hatton when the welterweight division was the hottest and deepest in all of boxing at that time.
We've all seen this act before yet people never learn.....
Fighters move up for bigger challenges or paydays. Pac, JMM, Duran, others all ended up fighting above their optimal weight. At this point Floyd has bigger challenges at 154, where he holds a belt, and there's no money fights at welter.
There are only bigger challenges because 154 is not Floyds best weight. He looses speed when he wears those 10 oz gloves. Hes older and hes giving up a ton if weight. If I was Floyd I would be worried about being the best fighter I could be. Whos out there at 154 that could really sell a fight besides Canelo?
People complaining as usual  . Floyd is the best boxer alive today and will retire undefeated. DEAL WITH IT.
Ricardo Lopez - GOAT
Rocky Marciano 2nd best ever
Joe Calzaghe 3rd best ever
Isnt it about being the best fighter you can be? So why does he HAVE to fight at 154 when hes a better fighter at 147? Sure he moved up before but that was for big PPVs. Hes not moving up to fight Joe Smo from bum fvck Egypt. Now he will probably move up again to fight Canelo but thats about it.

Floyd started at 130lbs too
Did you read my post carefully?
Was WW Guerrero's best weight? Sharmba? Hatton? Khan was supposed to be next, was WW his best weight?
Marquez? Wasn't Marquez 36 at the time? But all I heard from Floyd fans was "but Marquez is #2 P4P and he challenged Floyd so its legit"
Hopkins moved up from middleweight to light heavyweight at 40+ but Floyd, who already fought at 154 several times can't fight there? Why?
Canelo is not ready. He needs to fight some more and fix his issues. The thing that people are complaining about is why can't Floyd, the #1 P4P, 154 title holder fight another 154 fighter?
When someone fights, all is taken into account. You don't say, because the opponent has too much power or weight or skills or defense or whatever "it's not fair" ...... I'm hearing Floyd fans saying "it's not fair"
If an opponent makes the 154 limit at weighin it is fair and legit!!!

Floyds good enough to beat guys at 154 with his skill. But its not his best weight. Floyd fans and his haters both know that. The guys 36 and hes fought at WW since 2005 and he still cant weigh in any higher than 151 when he fights at JMW. And how do we know for sure GBP, and I mean Shaefer who really runs GB, really think Canelos ready for Mayweather? I know Canelo wants Mayweather but he doesnt get to pick his fights. Last year Shaefer said Canelo wasnt ready and Ive never heard him come out and say he believed Canelo was ready now. And after Canelos performance against Trout what makes you think hes changed his mind?

If Guerrero is a career 130 pounder what would that make Floyd?
Yeah I dunno about career 130 pounder, but remember his only "legit" titles came at 126 and 130, and even those were against scrubs
It is hypocrisy. You're complaining that Guerrero only has two fights at 147 so that means he's not a legit welterweight according to you. Then you turn around and say Floyd should fight Canelo when Floyd only has two fights at jr. middleweight and those fights were years apart. I'm sorry but that is very hypocritical.
I'm not trying to say he shouldn't fight Canelo, I want to see that fight. I think he will fight him eventually, and he's going to destroy that Mexican leprechaun let's be real. But don't call for that fight and call for a Pacquiao fight, and then turn around and say Mayweather-Guerrero wasnt legitimate because Guerrero was moving up in weight. You're being inconsistent.
It's not hypocrisy, it's bang on. He's not saying Floyd is a legit SWW champ, he's saying he should try to become one by fighting legit SWWs who are not blown up and past prime.
Floyd has zero power, he couldn't even hurt the blown up lightweight once in 12 rounds
Either you didn't see round eight, you're trolling or suffering dementia. Should I make a poll?
Because it's hypocritical to complain about Floyd fighting a guy who moved up in weight, when the guy everyone wanted to see him fight and accused him of ducking was moving up in weight. And then he says Floyd should fight Alvarez. So Guerrero is too small for Floyd but suddenly Floyd isn't too small for Alvarez? The hypocrisy is astounding.
You have to understand the haters on this site will never be satisfied with whatever Floyd does, or who he fights because if he's winning they aren't happy. For a long time I couldn't figure out why he's mindlessly hated by some "fans," but that's the thing about hate, it needs no logical justification, it just is.
lol .... I just responded to another post of yours ..... NOW if you say that then you must have seen something negative for Floyd at 154. Right? So then why are you guys not able to see what we see when someone that has just moved up and looked very average at WW, you Floyd fans deem it to be a ....
- "good fight" ...
- "but he is ranked high" ....
- "but he beat Berto" ....
- "it's legit" ....
- "He is #2 P4P" ...
- "He is the mandatory fighter" ...
- "He weighed just 5lbs under WW."
- "but even at 130, he would always come in at over 140"
- "He moved up to 135 and never fought at 140 nor 147 but he challenged Floyd, so it's legit"
- "even if the guy has no chance, fans will enjoy Floyd beating up that guy"
- "King at 140lbs? But he will be feeling more comfortable at 147"
I guess only Manny could fight guys that outweigh him by 15-20lbs while Manny couldn't even make the WW limit when weighing in.
I guess everyone except Floyd can fight bigger guys .... example, Martinez vs Chavez Jr, Manny, Roy Jones Jr, Holyfield .....

What a crock of s..t! Floyd fought more fights at 130 than all the other weights combined. Hehad two fights at 140 and two fights at welterweight before he beat Baldomir for the welterweight championship. Then he beat Oscar at 154 and then came back to 147 and beat Hatton (who had two fights at welterweight before fighting Floyd). HOWEVER, you are right about history repeating itself. Mayweather is beating guys smaller than him and those who are bigger than him.:fingersx:
154 is too big for Floyd, he doesn't look good there. It's a weightclass he doesn't even hit the weigh in limit on fight night. He fought oscar at 154, then Cotto see a trend? He's probably not going to fight at 154 again, accept it and move on.

wtf you talking about?
pacquiao vs marquez 4?
at least both were career 130lb and under fighters. basically the same size same weight class.
you dont got sh*t.
How many fights had Marquez had at welterweight again? I happen to know that Pacquiao has been walked into the ring at 145lbs for their fight at 129lbs, which isn't far from what he entered the ring at in their fourth fight. Pac was always a bigger guy, more suited to playing at the higher weights and still got laid out.
Looks like I got plenty.
Ive noticed that the better floyd performs.. the more people begin to hate and question his opposition. He was "ducking" mosley b4 they fought... then as soon as he starts beatin the breaks off of him, mosley became an old man who couldnt pull the trigger.
