I don't know what is in your mind dude. You sound worst than the Floydiots. I'm a Pac tard fan but no way I will say that to Pac with just one good win = nobody can beat him. Pac and many others beat a lot of undefeated fighters. Being undefeated and skillful with one good win doesn't mean anything.
It's how he beat him, and who he beat. In his 13th pro fight. It might take a minute for you to let the victory sink in, but it was that damn great.
How is that his weakness when no one's ever beaten him?

Its an intriguing question. Not only is he arguably the greatest amateur of all time but he just unified in only his 12th pro fight and just completely schooled a top p4p, 3 weight world champion. That may well be the 2nd best win in boxing!
Hes insanely talented and its always pretty intriguing debating how fantasy fights would of gone. The only gripe is we won't ever have the chance to see them happen.
Why not ask how he would fare in other eras? Because nobody is beating in this one!
Good post All Mighty One
Rigo is a great fighter no doubt. But if he had to fight a Prime Morales, Barrera, and 122 pound Pacquiao at that weight, then he would have some troubles from each one. Not saying he would lose every single one but they are all ATG fighters who proved to be the best at there time. Donaire isn't a ATG fighter yet, still has a chance but he is a hell of a fighter.
Morales would give problems because Morales was smart as **** in there. He would find a way to get his right hand to hit Rigo and he had excellent pop at 122. Plus Morales has heart to throw punches and go for the kill if he thinks he is losing.
Prince Hameed was faster then Barrera and Barrera outboxed the **** out of him. Barrera has excellent timing and a nice jab that would stay in Rigo's face. Plus he has the heart to go for the kill if he is losing.
Pacquiao is just an animal at 122. You can hit Pacquiao at 122 but Pacquiao throws like 4-5 punch combinations all the time with his blazing speed and his quick feet. It would be tough for Rigo to hold him off all 12 rounds without getting hit. Pacquiao would not stand there like donaire and throw 10-15 punches per round.
I hate posters like this.
That's the equivalent of someone using Roy Jones Jr fight against Danny Green as a reason he can't beat someone like Ward or Calzaghe at 168
Morales may have been on the decline, but the comparison to the Roy Jones of the Danny Green fight is ridiculously absurd.
I think the Raheem fight absolutely exposed flaws in Morales.
rigo would eat counterpunchers.
donaire's fault was he played into rigo's pace and rhythm where rigo can easily set up counters and move away and relax a bit.
he would have huge problems with pressure power fighters like pac and maybe morales and mab.
a fight with jmm would be probably like donaire's, boring but 50-50.
Jesus this site is getting pathetic. What happened to this place? A guy has one very good win against a terribly underprepared and undertrained fighter (he trained with his trainer over the phone for ****s sake) and was also dropped in the fight and all the sudden he is treated like an all time great pro. If this site existed when Douglas beat a underprepared Tyson (also dropped in the fight like Rigo) I'm sure people would be saying "What heavyweight beats Buster Douglas?" SMFH....
I do question some of this post. He never trains fully with Garcia. Garcia is not his trainer. I thought this was well known by now. In fact, Garcia comes in like this, at the last minute for basic stuff, in every fight he has. He's the cornerman, not his trainer. He's a last minute coach of some basic tactics and the fight night cornerman. That's it. He has a full time coach who has trained him from day one and does everything, including initial, and most likely his proper game plan up until the very end just before the fight.
I think of Garcia as the TR PR trainer for top guys. He hardly does any work at all with Donaire. Garcia wouldn't have made any difference.
As for terribly underprepared and undertrained, I don't believe that for a minute. Donaire was actually very quick with the counters and still very sharp. What happened was a massive style clash that greatly favoured Rigo. Donaire is a counter puncher, pure and simple. When forced to lead in the past he's looked nearly as bad at times against much inferior opposition.
The one thing I did believe from the Donaire Cookbook: Recipes for fight night Excuses was that he genuinely thought he would have no trouble knocking Rigo out and during the large majority of the fight just kept expecting to land the left hook that would take him out. You could see it in the build up and you could see it in the fight. He had trained very well to land that punch, and he did land it quite a few times. He was left hook happy, but Rigo mostly neutralised it. It wasn't because he was underprepared. It was because Rigo took his main weapon away. He had seen too much tape of Rigo getting caught with left hook counters and Rigo being vulnerable to the left hook in most respects. Donaire was very sharp with that left counter. He threw it a lot and was very quick, very sharp and very short with it.
Anyone, Garcia, Donaire, his team...everyone, would have been completely confident. They didn't realise that Rigo would be that changed and would take the thing they had trained most for away so well. It wasn't Donaire, it was Rigo. That version of Donaire would still have beaten everyone at 122 easily.
Really? Already with this stuff? He's beating everyone in boxing history now?
Off the top of my head, guys around Jr featherweight and bantamweight who I think could/would have beaten that version of Rigondeaux:
Jeff Fenech
Daniel Zaragoza
MA. Barrera
W. Vasquez
Fighting Harada
Eder Jofre
Manuel Ortiz
Ruben Olivares
Wilfredo Gomez
Carlos Zarate
Veeraphol Sahaprom
Orlando Canizales
Jimmy Carruthers
Rafael Marquez
Panama Al Brown
Terry McGovern
Erik Morales
I would give all a chance and many a clear edge. I don't doubt there are many I'm missing who would present major problems. Despite the great performance, he does have clear flaws that would be exploited by many of this list.

Well said minus the Donaire excuses.
Oh my goodness :lol1:
Beat Donaire and you wipe the floor with Morales, Barrera and Pacquaio at 122 aswell :lol1:
Wasn't Pacs best weight & I think this is a horrible fight for Pac-man. Possibly the worst style match up for him there is. A defensive southpaw with great footwork & a precision counterpuncher. I wouldn't totally rule him out but its a bad style for him IMO
Barrera & Morales though what I'd give to see either those happen.
Im gonna stay away from the question because im not big on my boxing history.
But i truly think Rigo is an awful awful style match-up for Pacquiao at 122. Thats not a judgement on who is greater fighter at the weight, but h2h i cant see how Pac would deal with Rigo constant movement and variation.
Always a chance of a KO with Pac obviously but I think Rigo cuts Pacs offence and boxes him to rather comfortable win.
Someone like Barrera i think will have a better chance as he has superior balance and boxing skills.

I see what you did there.. hehehe. You forgot to add "one after another" at the end.
Can't think of anyone who would beat him but stylewise i'd say it would have to be someone who could smother him and definitely would need to be able to walk through rigo's shots
prime jeff fenech would have been a bad style for rigo. He would wrestle rigo and outmuscle him. I've yet to see how good rigo in the inside, since he doesn't need to do that anyway, but fenech cuts the ring so easily and catches you in punches in bunches in the inside. He was also a rock way back.
Pacquiao, is a also an interesting style for rigo. Great physical talent, relentlessness and awkwardness.
The same guy that got utterly outclassed by Raheem?
