What division would you fight at or be able to cut down to if you could box or have boxed before?
I think I could fight at 147 pounds, I am 197 pounds right now at 6 foot tall, but I have a lot of body fat maybe 20 percent. That would be a 50 pound weight cut, but I would lose weight naturally to 170 and maintain that weight year round.
I think I could trim some of that fat and sap down 10 pounds of water weight the day before weigh in and make weight. I would probably come into the ring about 160 pounds after rehydrating.
You sound like me but just not fat lol. I'm 28 have had a great diet recently but drink beer on weekends and cheat on my diet but I'm in the gym 5 days a week usually boxing, running, jumping rope etc. I duno if i could run 5 miles yet coming off ankle surgery but I run about 30-45 min at a decent pace. I just sparred one of our welterweights that fought today and I'm even faster than him at 195 but just don't have the stamina to stay throwing for 3 minutes of 3 rounds. But the fat does eat on my mental state some days I'm at the gym like **** it why am I even trying to take this off and I find myself more sedentary than I was in my early 20s. Have you noticed any effects from fish oil? And what does ginkgo biloba do? I've heard of it never read up on it though
Gingko helps with memory and blood circulation (completely organic) and the fish oil also helps with blood circulation and heart strength. When I get out of the habit of working out, I just get that beer gut thing going and I hate it but I'm not obese, just not in shape. I'm probably a few pounds away from being in the kind of shape I'd like to be in but I'd guess I'm about 7-9% body fat right now. My abs are showing pretty well and my muscles are showing much more than they normally do.
I have a build pretty similar to JMM and when I workout a lot, I look like he did before the last Pac fight....I have that square mid-section thing going on that just tends to accumulate fat in the love handle area. I also work out 5 days a week too, P90X Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, cardio on Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays.
Try out the fish oil though, it is good for joint pain as well as circulation.
yeah bro pretty slim to be quite honest, i would assume id fight at bantam if i was pro, but drop 18 lbs and id fight at fly weigh dudes like ivan calderon that are 5 ft tall:lol1:
Do you even eat much? are you one of those guys who are busy but lack appetite?
Yeah, it's weird it just kind of creeps up on you especially because I'm in my 30's and I don't really have a great diet (I am eating healthy now though) and I drink beer on the weekends. When I workout though, I push it really hard doing HIIT stuff and treadmill circuits. Earlier today I went for a quick 5 mile run and it was like nothing. That fat just eats away at my mental state, I feel like crap and semi-depressed. Once I hit a certain level of fitness though, it's like you are saying, you just feel great. It's hard to explain but mentally, I feel healthy and strong too. I have been taking fish oil and ginkgo biloba as well which could have something to do with it but nothing beats being healthy man.

Yeah, I can dig it. Everyone who hasn't seen me since I weighted 208 all say I'm skinny now that I'm hovering around 180. But I feel so much better, there's no pain in my roadwork. My stamina & energy levels are through the roof. I wouldn't trade me now for me at 208 anyday. I had to change my pants cause most were size 38, but now they fall clean down. I can easily fit into size 33 but i keep them 36 or 34 just in case.

I'm 5'-9" and around 162 pounds now. I have lost about 15 pounds since January though because I have been trying to shed my winter beer gut. It's truly embarrassing once you start losing the weight and you look in the mirror like why did I let myself get that fat and disgusting in the first place?
If I can get down to 156-158 range, I'll look pretty close to a professional boxer in terms of body conditioning and having ripped abs and all that. As it is right now, I'm pretty trim and people tel me I'm "too thin" but I think it's because they got used to seeing me fat, lol.
I could probably fight at 154 or dehydrate myself down to 147 but I don't think I would like that too much. I have too much muscle to get down to 147 and feel comfortable I think. I'm a small framed guy but I have more muscle than most of the 147 pound boxers I see on TV.

I'm 6'3" and about 210lbs, so I could make cruiserweight next week if I had to, but if I trained and lost the flab I imagine my natural weight division would be light heavy.
5'8" and I walk around at 130-135lbs. I've never had an actual fight but I've sparred quite a bit. The first person I sparred against weighed 155lbs and I held my own. But ideally, I'd fight at Super Featherweight.

I'm 5-10 all my peeps swear it's more like 5-11, 6-0. I'm hovering anywhere between 179-183. I actually toned down my training because I believe I was overtraining. But if I were a pro right now, I'm sure I would have started at 140 & ended at 160 max.
