If Canelo pulls out of the May 4th slot that makes room for Broner. And if Mayweather does huge numbers without Canelo, Canelos team wont have a leg to stand on. The better play is to follow suit or at least give Floyd the option of getting out of commitment if Canelo looses on May 4th. You dont want to get into a pissing contest with Al Haymon. If Canelo fights May 4th his people can at least make the argument that he helped sell that PPV. That all changes once hes off the card. The worst thing Canelo can do is let Floyd do big numbers without him.

I haven't heard anything about Canelo demanding the fight win or lose. i haven't heard anything about canelo demanding the fight if both guys win..........(don't give me dan because he's obviously going by hear say) theres no real details yet on whats in the actual contract........ all we know is canelo is demanding a guarantee & he's probably not willing to fight trout if he doesn't get A guarantee. which is hilarious.

the excuse for canelo at this point is "he just wants a guarantee that he'll get floyd if he beats trout" the problem with this is we don't know whats in the contracts. for all we know it could say he wants a floyd fight win or lose......... even if it says he wants a guaranteed floyd fight (only if the 2 win their next fights) what if canelo goes to hell and back against trout? what if he gets a SD win? what if he robs trout all together and gets a gift? do we still want to see mayweather vs canelo on those terms? they should do it the old school way. if both guys look spectacular in their next fight then you make canelo vs mayweather....simple. & canelo not wanting to fight trout (if no guarantee against floyd) is shameful. I would be embarrassed to be canelo fan if true...........

Not to mention that a win over Trout gives him credibility for a Mayweather fight. At some point the tail don't wag the dog, Canelo himself should be screaming at Shaefer and GBP to make the Trout fight I'll state the obvious. There's a reason why he isn't.
