Pac's KO loss has nothing to do with Freddy. It was a good fight where Pac was also looking very good up until the KO. It was a shot that he just didnt see coming and walked right into. Its boxing. It happens.
People's definition of looking ''very good'' is incredibly skewed. He walked on to big shots because he fought without discipline. It is why Bayless had to tell him to take a step back when he was rushing towards the center of the ring, it is why he got his ass planted to the ground in the third round and it is why he walked into that big shot in the 6th round.
Do people say ''Ooh Hatton just walked into that checkhook'' or do they focus on the fact that he shouldn't have been so careless.

I been saying for years Roach is a shiet overrated trainer who Hollywoods and loves any camera he sees. Dude sucks as a trainer and got lucky with Pac being so popular, he doesnt develop ANY of his fighters or teach them anything new.
Only reason people give him a pass is because of Parkinsons which I think is completely stupid to do.
TBH, Manny was winning this fight so the preparation/ game plan was done correctly.
But from his winning - losing ratio, he is getting a D-/F at this point in big fights.
No it wasn't done correctly. He was up by one point and getting counter with some hellacious shots.
nah, roach ain't over rated, that's just hate talk, pacquiao just got careless for for a second and marquez capitalized
Carelessness is a trait often associated with Freddie Roach fighters along with an inability to fight on the inside and defend. The end of the day carelessness is also Roach's fault it shows that as a trainer he is failing to teach his fighters discipline and patience.
He was always overrated. I cant believe some retards had him in the same spot as Nacho.
Nacho forged real elite world champions from scratch that were p4p bosses.
Roach got lucky he got pacquiao and some decent fighters flocked to him during some good times.
Let us discuss his record this year? Unlucky trainer or completely overrated?

He's at fault for Pacquiaos loss, but not Khans
He didnt train pacquiao properly
but he gave khan the best training possible and it was all khans fault
How stupid. Pacquiao's strategy for this fight was better than in his other fights against Marquez. The movement was confusing Marquez and Pacquiao was actually outboxing Marquez at times, something we haven't seen before. Roach can't stop Manny's tendency to jump in with aggressive lefts at this stage. Manny has always thrown awkward shots and been wide open when on the attack so getting KTFO has always been a risk but that style has also helped him become great throughout his career. I really can't see how the knockout is Roach's fault.

Im not sure about roach giving khan the best training?
I think we will see whether roach was giving khan the ideal training after the next few fights, it has been posted that Virgil is teaching khan the basics something which he thought khan was lacking.
