Thompson doesn't exactly have the "fire" in his eyes. In fact it seems that he couldn't care less. I agree. On the other side there is Wlad with that routine cold hearted expression.
Thompson looked a lot happier the first time around.

That was at the weigh in, not some boring ass rematch final presser

he already got knocked the **** out and went to sleep (literally, watch him lay down, close his eyes and use his arm as a pillow). how can you blame him for not being excited or fired up. he knows whats gonna happen
so we gone sit here and act like he wasnt layed unconscious by corrie sanders??and ko'd by purrity and brewster??we gone act like Peters didnt floor him 4 times??thompson didnt do jacksh1t but get put to sleep............keep it real son.how this guy got another shot is beyond meLarry, I meant SINCE those fights. Ya know, since he's been dominating? Since the Peter fight, Thompson has given Wladimir his toughest fight. I'm sure most would agree as well. You may be able to make a case for Haye, because he went the distance, but Thompson actually got off some nice punches, pushed him back, made him uncomfortable.
Mark my words, Tony may not win, but he's going to give Wladimir a tough fight, tougher then the first time around. I'm pretty sure he had outlanded Wlad going into the 11th round, I could be wrong there, but I'm almost positive.
Thompson looks to be in good shape as well. You guys aren't giving him enough credit. Also, in terms of him looking "disinterested", Thompson is a pretty relaxed, layed back kind of guy, just like the Klitschko's, it doesn't mean anything at all. I know this seems like a bad fight due to Wlad already winning the first fight. But, Thompson wasn't 100% in their first fight at all, due to having a torn meniscus in his right knee, and he still gave Wlad his toughest fight in years.
No one has given Wladimir a tougher fight then Thompson before, or after their first fight. And that includes Haye. Like I said, I'm not saying Thompson will win, but he's being vastly underrated going into this fight. Thompson's style gave Wlad fits the first time around. I think it'll be a good fight.

same thing could be said for wlad. bottom line is they have both been around for some time, they wont get all excited over a press conference staredown. its just for the press anyways.
This. The staredown is the most idiotic part of the promotional process in my opinion. I don't get the point of it.

Yeah he looks like he's just going through the motion. Another day at the office.
He actually did damn good. Touched wlad alot, cut him, blackened his eye and swelled it a bit. He was big and strong enough to make wlad pull out other tools like body shots. And he was very tough for wlad to clinch. He mad Wlad very uncomfortable first fight. Recommend rewatching it.
Correct. His height and reach will still make Wlad somewhat uncomfortable, it's a decent fight.
Tell me you wouldn't rather have Chisora slapping him or spitting in his face?
No need for this buffoonery. A mean stare down with both fighters looking intense ala Hagler/Hearns is all I need.

I don't think he wants it too much.
Realistically, he was younger when they first fought and hadn't been beaten in a long time, and he got very little going against Wladimir. His punches did not affect Klitschko and he was certainly not going to outbox him. At the end he found a soft spot on the canvas and wasn't too eager to get up. Today he is older, slower and hasn't fought any quality opposition since then.
He talked the talk so he could get another rematch and the payday that comes along with it. Winning would be a big bonus on top, but he can live without it.

i think he wants it, perhaps im wrong. he is at the end of his career he might view this as just another payday, we wont find out til the fight starts. i think he wants it more than most klitschko ppponents, perhaps ive been fooled by his pre fight talk but thats the feeling i got.

Well that was riveting and so exciting I've just chewed off my nails.
