Manny Steward also once called Naseem Hamed the greatest featherweight of all time. All I'll say is, Lewis would've mauled David Haye while Wladimir couldn't put a dent in him through 12 dull rounds.
the problem with wlad is he doesnt let his punches go enough which makes it appear he doesnt hit as hard as lewis who was more agressive
Shannon Briggs thinks Vitali hits harder than Lewis too, lover boy.
Looking at the Briggs/Lewis fight, it looked like Briggs was in peak shape. When Briggs fought Vitali, he was just a shell of himself. So of course Briggs would say that.
Lewis was a natural, great footwork for a big guy, i cant say the same about Wlad, he looks very nervous at times, even against weak competition. Also i don't rate his punch selection, Lewis landed blows with great timing, he picked out the right combinations. I don't know who is more powerful, maybe Wlad, but that really doesnt mean **** when you are struggling to land and get rid of bums.
Lewis would have had Haye out the ring within 6 rounds or maybe quicker.
Klit haters in denial, the man who trained both says outright Wlad punches harder than Lewis and klit haters trying to bend it and turn it into something else.

yeah so according to you wlad never unloads but is still far more powerful than lewis according to steward so imagine how much more powerful wlad really is if he unloaded. he'd probably kill lewis in 1 hit
The only time Wlad unloads is in his brother.
Lewis was the heavier puncher, Wlad is the crisper more technically sound puncher. I'm not surprised if fighters and trainers think Wlad is a harder puncher though. I can imagine his punches really sting like hell, whereas with Lewis you would just wake up and say "what happened?"
Interesting that Steward says Klitschko is more accurate than Lewis. Watching the NBC interview with Mayweather, Costas says Lewis is the 2nd most accurate puncher in boxing history behind Joe Louis according to Compubox.
Wlad hits hard but it's difficult to tell just how hard as he never really unloads. Lewis threw some absolute peaches in his time, like the combo on Rahman and those uppercuts he used to throw. I doubt Klitschko has more power, although he certainly is powerful. I wish he was meaner.
Wlad has alot of power in his straight right and left hands, but its obvious Lennox was the better puncher and knockout artist. He did more with less natural strength.

Everything Steward says is true. What he's actually saying is Wladimir has more power and has a more accurate jab + balance but Lewis was the more versatile fighter ergo the better overall fighter.
Nothing controversial here. You can't claim 'styles make fights' then claim one fighter should be superior in all elements of styles that's plain silly.
