Hey im just wondering do celebs get free tickets or them at a discounted rate to go to the major fights (or any televised fights for that matter)????
Im just been looking at a few fights today,Pac v Cotto, May v Mosley, May v Hatton, Cotto v Mosley and the fact that they always happen to be seated opposite the camera for EVERY major fight got me thinking.
Im just curious of the business side of it, would you say the promoters ring up the likes of Mark Walberg, Diddy, Derek Jeter etc the regulars at all the major fights and ask them do the want to sit in these prestigious seats.
It seams like a win win to me, celebs get some free publicity with there face on tv in front of millions of people... and a free fight.
The promoter gets to associate these people to it event
Could anybody fill me in, im curious, Thanks
I meant the only people who the fighters give free tickets too are friends and family. Of course their are cooperate seats and sponsors also just like at all sporting events. Point being when you see LL Cool J or Mario Lopez at a fight no one paid them or comped them to be their
Yeah, LL Cool J and Mario Lopez were working. I know that Pacquiao pays for his entourage's tickets. He offered Kobe 4 tickets. Roach buys his tickets for friends and family.
Not true. The tickets are divided between the fighters, promoters, sponsors, site venue, etc. before they even go on sale the public. Not everyone sitting ringside is famous.

not really true for major fights.
I do believe that for lesser shows they get comped or even paid money to show up.
yeah some get paid to attend but to be fair it is many who Pay for Tickets Themselves...hell they are rich, a few thousand $ for good seats won't hurt their pockets, you have some Celebrities that are just Big Boxing Fans

Rich People don't pay for SH!T!
A lot of them get free tickets/invites from the fighter(s) because having Celebrities at your fight will get the Media Attention

Some of the celebs get free tickets from fighters, promoters, or hotels.
Some of the them pay for their own ticket at face value.
Some of them get them from their agency, agents, lawyers, etc.
Some of them trade favors like tickets or appearances for tickets.
How do you think guys like John Wall sit court side at Laker games a couple weeks after the college season ends?
I was actually being sincere. I think it's very common, just made a playful comment about the entourage bit.
sctrojansbaby is 100% correct. I've seen this on Entourage so it's legit!

LOL HBO doesn't fly anybody out or pay for any hotels. Who told you that?
Those seats are bought by high powered agents who give them to their clients(P-Diddy, Jamie Foxx, Mario Lopez etc). Same as basketball games.

Whilst all of the above posts can be partially correct, I believe that many or most high-powered celebrities get attendance fees. They are in business, have agents to maximize their incomes (from which they get a percentage) and rarely do anything for nothing, unless it's good publicity. That they might (or might not) have gone anyway is just incidental. They are so busy, that they only are contracted for the main event, or maybe a portion of it. They could have 3-4 appearances at different events on the same night.
LOL you're wrong. Agents buy the tickets with their own money and they give them to their clients there is no contract.
I think guys like Stallone and Marky Mark pay for their stuff because they are true fans. I'm sure celebs get special treatment tho'. The higher up the ladder the better treatment u get. Just like a hot chic gets better treatment than a fat chic, is all the same.

HBO ALWAYS give free tickets to as many famous people as possible so the camera can show them in the audience
