One thing I noticed in the Haye-Klitschko fight was the big difference in height. Supposedly it is 3 inches. Haye is apparently 6' 3". But when I saw Wladimir fight DeVaryll Williamson, Williamson seemed much closer to Wladimir's height. DeVaryll Williamson is apparently 6' 3.5" So only half an inch exists between him and Haye, but it is the biggest half inch I ever saw.
I understand people can legitimately add a bit to their height. When I went to the doctor, I saw a thing on the wall below which you could measure yourself. I stood casually but with both feet together. They said I was 188.5 cm tall. I always thought I was taller than that. So the next time I went back I asked to be measured again. This time I stood as tall as I could while keeping both feet flat on the floor. In effect, I "stretched" myself and they said I was 191cm. An inch taller. Which height is "legitimate", I don't know. But i can see how you could squeeze out another inch or so this way, but I still don't know if that accounts for some of the suspicious heights you see.
Perhaps boxers are actually measure for the 'tale of the tape' section, I don't know. I have trouble believing Sam Peter is 6' 2", Rahman and Holyfield 6' 2.5", Morrison 6' 2", though. It means all those guys are only an inch or less shorter than Ali and Norton, and Haye the same height as them.

That happens all the time. The spine shrinks through train you put on your ack by sitting and heavy lifting etc.
In the morning is when you are your tallest when your spine is decompressed.
You can say your peak height is 191 cm.
Different people fluctuate in height differently.
A period I swear I had gotten 3-4 cm shorter in comparison to friends and so on because I was no long much taller then them.
Some months later I noticed my height was back.
Either way many fighters lie about their height.
Also in weigh-ins some people put on slippers or shoes after they have gotten off the scale, so the Adamak-Areola could be that.
Part of it could also be the fighter's stance. Some guys like to fight tall, some guys like to lower their heads and take a wider stance making them look shorter in the ring.
Roy Jones did point out in commentary that the styles of Haye and Wlad made the actual 3 inch height difference a lot bigger in the ring.

I've talk to Chris maybe 5 times and I'm 5'6 and I was up to his shoulders so he is 6'4Yea, I talked to Chris before and he's at least 6'4 (I'm 6'2 and he had at least 2 inches on me).
Well I am fairly certain that Arreola is not 6'4" (seeing as how Adamek is listed at 6'1 1/2".)
