I agree, they should make this fight. We already seen what Cotto looks like at 145. It wouldn't be worth it for him to fight JMM at this stage. Cotto is barely conditioned to make it through 12 rounds at a comfortable weight, he will fall apart weighing 145 at this stage of his career.

Cotto is a good fighter an all but JMM is on another level and frankly it is not even up for real debate.

I guess you don't know much about boxing if you don't consider Chris John one of the top fighters in boxing. I think any expert and unbiased fan doesn't count Margarito's plaster aided W. Cotto has 1 L in his career against the # 2 p4p in a fight in which he went into with no trainer. But his resume is still better than JMM. ....John is a top fighter? because he fights who again? his career highlight is getting a home town decision over Marquez. other that he fights bums in Indonesia no Cotto doesn't have 1 lose... stop trying to re-write history he got stopped by Margarito.
