So he was on a Spanish (from Spain) radio show just now and he mentioned he's starting his own promotional firm with his manager (Sampson Lewkowicz). He also said there's going to be a movie (or documentary?) about him.
Once again he reaffirms the negotiations with Mayweather are very advanced and concrete. He says he just has to wait one more week, but he's extremely sure the fight is going to be made.

Isn't Macklin lined up for St. Patty's Day?
If you've got $5 coming your way next Thursday, but learn on Wednesday you have an opportunity to make $5,000 but you can only choose one, what would you do?
I know better than to lend this any credence, but damn I'm hoping against hope it's true.
I won't believe until Floyd tweets it himself like he did with the Ortiz announcement. Although Ortiz did say he was lined up to fight Floyd and every one said Floyd wouldn't take on such a dangerous fight, then the fight did happen.
I made a thread that went something along the lines of "Did anyone hear that Floyd is in fact fighting Ortiz next?" about a month or so before it was officially announced.
The thread was deleted after a hand full of pacterds bashed the shyt out of the fight making comments that Floyd would never fight a southpaw like Ortiz etc etc etc...
Now these pacterds are discrediting THE former (career) JMW Champion of the world and current MW Champion of the world Sergio Martinez because "rumors" are starting that FLoyd will fight him next...
Same shyt different restroom.

Fight night weights:
Pacquiao 148- Mosley 164
Pacquiao 148 - Margarito 165
Pacquiao 149- Clottey 160
Pacquiao 149.5- Cotto 156
So yea, you're right about that sir
I never realized how damn heavy his last 3 were... I think average re hydration for a WW is in the mid to high 150's.
I remember browsing through some threads before, and someone had screenshots of the tale of the tapes of just about every Pacquiao fight on HBO. Did they even show the fight night weights of Pacquiao's last two or three fights? I could have sworn they didn't show them.
pac is 148-149 on fight night while floyd is 1 mound heavier at 150.
you guys seriously need to stick your heads in a hole

that is very possible but after how sergio struggled vs a BUM , i think floyd is confident of fighting him which to me aint really big of a deal since i dont regard sergio as someone that good....
Pac has been koed by bums , you got so many double standards no wonder you flip flop at every turn .
What would it matter anyway? Floyd would just say reporters were putting words in his mouth.

your exact quote
"floyd has never mentioned " martinez " in his entire life....."
..he has'nt.....floyd exact quote, " it's possible, we dont know..ive seen him fight pavlik but i dont watch much boxing , i watch basketball"...where did he mention "maritnez" there?....lol..nice try!
:lol1:...that did not show floyd wanting to fight sergio....he's just answering a question with his usual " oh it's possible, i dont know" BS....
what i was looking for was floyd calling out sergio or him sayin something like " i'd figfht sergio martinez"....thats was not the case in this vid amigo...

17 pages? Why? Are we still playing the see no evil, hear no evil game? Did we not learn from the Dubai fiasco? Again, from Lou Dibella himself, just 2 days ago...
"It's going to be a long shot for Mayweather to fight Martinez," said DiBella. "Although I think that Mayweather is so good and such a warrior that there's a chance that if Mayweather doesn't get Manny Pacquiao, that he would consider Martinez."
DiBella also promotes Irish fighter Andy Lee (27-1, 19 KOs), who decisioned Brian Vera (19-6, 12 KOs) on the Martinez-Barker undercard to avenge a seventh-round knockout loss from March of 2008.
Lee might be in line to face Martinez in a clash of southpaws, as may right-hander Matthew Macklin (28-3, 19 KOs), whom DiBella also promotes.
Macklin lost a disputed split-decision to WBA titleholder Felix Sturm (36-2-1, 15 KOs) in June.
"I have the two best Irish fighters in the world with Lee and Macklin. I think that Macklin beat Sturm and that he should already be a champion," said DiBella.
"Plus, Macklin's had two great wins on HBO. St. Patrick's Day is in March, which is right around the time that I would like Sergio have another fight."
The WBC has ordered titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (43-0-1, 30 KOs) to defend his belt against Martinez by the first quarter of 2012 or relinquish it, according to WBC Secretary General Mauricio Sulaiman.
Chavez has a scheduled match-up opposite Peter Manfredo Jr. (37-6, 20 KOs) on Nov. 19. But if victorious, DiBella does not believe Chavez will choose to face Martinez.
"If Chavez Jr.'s the coward that I think that he is, then he will gives up the title rather than face Martinez," said DiBella. "And then, there's a good chance that we'll fight Macklin or possibly Lee on St. Patrick's Day."
The fight should so obviously be made. But its like Floyd expects a bravery award and pat on the back for doing so!
Sergio is stepping down in weight for Floyd, which is traditionally harder to do it seems so where is the risk and why is it so big a deal that Floyd fights Sergio.
Other fighters Sergio fights dont get praise and honours of bravery so why does Floyd expect special treatment or something? Stop using different weight divisions to avoid fighting people is what i say. Pac is campaigning at WW deliberately so FLoyd cant avoid him and no one can accuse Pac of being scared of Floyd And if you do say Pac is scared of Floyd, no one would believe you.
Just get the fight made already.
Errr are you dumb? Are you not forgetting Floyd would be moving up in weight you nuthugger? He's not even a big WW too. You expect Floyd to fight Sergio but you don't expect Pac too, nice one idiot.
Funny how people think Mayweather needs a catchweight to fight Martinez.
Floyd would beat the $hit out of Martinez at 160.
Martinez would weigh 165 on fight night which is what Ortiz weighed.
Mayweather would weigh in at 150 and come into the ring at 150.
Thats only 15 pounds between the two.
Floyd sparred jr middleweights and middleweights(ouma, latimore, powell) for the Ortiz fight.
If Floyd was to fight Martinez, then it would be at middleweight for the middleweight crown.
And Floyd would make easy work of Martinez.
Put your hands down in front of Floyd and you know what would happen.
Just ask Ortiz.
lol can't you be a little discreet with your bias and hypocrisy? is floyd's balls really that deep in your throat? how can a 150 or 151 catchweight between them is a good fight and creditable? even if sergio can make 150 it will still be a garbage fight because martinez will be severely weight drained. margarito made 150 when he fought pac and that fight was vigorously criticized. in fact you're one of them who incessantly criticized it. i did too actually and i will do the same if floyd will fight martinez at 150 or even 152. now if he they will fight at 154 then all props goes to floyd.
hey dumbass, the reason i criticized the margarito fight was not because of the catchweight. it was because of the catchweight + the title + the fact that marg didnt deserve ****. dont try to use my **** against me if ur gonna half ass it. i think its a good fight for either manny or floyd at 151. that has **** to do with the margarito fight u comparing the two once again illustrates how simple minded u are.
i also said in my earlier post i dont believe this fight needs to be or shuld be for any title, mw or otherwise. idc about the title, i dont think either fighter cares about the title. i just want to see the fight. so plz go find somewhere else to take ur stupid ass argument.
It will be the MW title because thats what Sergio holds and all the fight has to be is under the 160 limit , sanctioned and agreed upon , the weight only needs to be under 160 ,,, you dont have bottom limits in weight divisions .
Not down with this at all. If it's @ 154 it should be jr. middle.
Of course with all the nonsense by the alphabet boys someone would sanction your idea
