Pac's power overrated; Mayweather's underrated?

i know one who overrated pac's power, shane mosley...... floyd's power is rated right based on common knowledge...

Yet, he's on steroids, because he's knocking out welterweights, right? People can't make up their minds.

Been away from this thread, so here we go. Pac still haven't knocked out a welteweight. A case can be made for Mayweather regardless of how you see it; he fought Hatton at 147. Cotto and Hatton, when faced Pac, were below 147.... agreed? Delahoya was stopped but not KO. I never said Pac doesn't have power, but the fact is, he's being made out to look like a monster puncher when it's the accumulation of power-punches and surprise factor from the speed in his punches that mostly caught his opponents off-guard and stun them. Again, Mosley, Tito and even Hoya was KOing guys at welter and above, so how is Pac a bigger puncher than those guys? I have seen Mayweather busted up Judah, buckled a 154 Oscar, swollen Mosley's face with his pillows, and remembering him at the lower weights stopping guys cold, but he never carry all his power to welterweight, but enough to keep you honest and if careless you might get stopped. Again, i am not saying he has equal power as Manny, what i am saying is that each fighter on his own merit, not in a relative sense, is being underrated/overrated. The Manny's punch that Floored Mosley, he never saw that coming. I, for one, as a spectator, watching the fight didn't even see the punch, then how the hell Mosley would have seen it? I had to press rewind in slow-mo to catch the punch..lol.

Shame how a thread starts off pretty good then gets taken over by Pac Stans and Flomo's, almost makes you dislike Pac and Mayweather because of how retarded some of their fans are. Pac's power is exceptional for someone his size, Mayweather's is underrated. Mayweather doesnt really put his all into his punches probably due to the hand problems he experienced earlier in his career.

We are talking about a natural LW who is dominating much bigger men than himself and making them run most often. This. I think Pac has the intimidation factor on his side, he doesn't SEEM to have great punching power from the outside, but once they get in there, they find themselves crumbling under the accumulation of punishment that he can dish out. He even KO'ed Hatton with one punch, so he does have that power. Pac is just built to be a power puncher with all the leg strength he has. I don't think we would ever know how much power Floyd truly has, cuz his strategy isn't to batter his opponent senseless, it's to out-box and make them look foolish.

Pac doesn't have one-punch KO power at 147, he damage is done with volume. Mayweather doesn't have it either, he get's to people with accurate shots & perfect timing that if you don't see coming will do damage and take it's toll over time. Their power is closer then some would like to admit, the major difference is that Pac throws a lot more punches. ^^^^ this.

I think Mayweather has average power. Pac has decent power, but it's his workrate and handspeed that get him his KOs more-so than his punching power IMO. but speed really adds to pac's power... a speeding vehicle's impact, say at 75mph compared to 45mph..not the same..

Why is it all or nothing with these pactards. yes pac has heavy hands, he can catch you with a solid shot from strange angles and leave you dazed. He's not the hardest one shot hitter in the game(not even at ww), his damage comes from volume at this stage, and his output is incredible. It's not an insult, it's just a fact.

Who has Pac knocked out at Welterweight? Shane, Tito and Oscar used to knocked ppl out cold at welterweight. Tko is not sufficient to justified power, because any ref will stop a fight if one fighter is getting hit to frequently with less retaliation. Both Floyd and Pac have pop and will certainly do harm, but why one is being overrated for power and the other underrated? Manny may have more kds at WW, but if is power was so devastating why aren't he able to finished those said opponents when he continues to hit them repeatedly? I won't say Pacquiao's power is overrated because he is pushing back bigger fighters, but Mayweather's power is underrated.

3 out of those 4 fight went to the cards and Cotto was a 11th round TKO Not answering the question, who have taken out these fighters early. And Cotto was 12th round TKO, but I watch boxing, so thats how I know that.
