Two of Khans fights have featured extremely annoying air horns blaring throughout the broadcast. Has anyone else noticed this and is HBO aware of how bad it is?!
getting involved with retarded behavior is pathetic Stones!
lmao Stones? I'm as far from an Aussie as you can get STEELHEAD!
So the atmosphere Hatton brought to the US was retarded behaviour?
If I can make it to the Ward vs. Froch fight. If I am sitting by anyone with those dumbass plastic vuevles whatever the fvck they called. I will ask politely once for them not to blow that sh!t in my ear. If they refuse the fans will be treated to an extra fight for free that night!
I fvcking hate that sh!t. I don't mind anybody cheering on they favorite fighter or team as loud as they can but when you bring in an instrument that is way louder than you could ever be add on top of that its annoying as hell man that is a serious problem.
shit man you prob get tased by security but you'll become an instant hero worldwide if you it get it on tape.
Is anyone sick of the air horn BS at boxing events?
yeah! almost as sick as having to listen to a limey crowd with there pathetic chants of "wonderland" and that other sht!
in most places this would be concidered retarded behavior. butt since the people doing the chanting appear to be suffering from downsyndrum then maybe its alright.
Yeah we prefer to make noise and support our fighters rather than sit and eat Big Macs.
Not liking horns is one thing but you don't like the crowd getting involved in the fight? What the hell is wrong with you?

ITs not really a U.K thing, its almost exclusively done by U.K fans of Pakistani origin. (not even Pakistanis do it). You go to any cricket match in England where Pakistan play, and the horns in the crowds are deafening, this was nothing lol..

I love horns, I think they really add to the atmosphere
Well, i can tell you that as far back as 60 years ago, when i was a kid going to big Rugby matches in Dublin Ireland, there were ALWAYS some in the stands who were equipped with bugles which they occasionally tooted on, presumably to satisfy their own desire for attracting attention and getting a laugh. After a while they always got tired of it and stopped.
In fact many years later, when I had a music store in Canada I imported some (very cheap) Army bugles from Pakistan, (bagpipes too) and they were bought for a similiar purpose, either ice hockey or football. As you know a bugle cannot be used to play tunes, only a harmonic series of 5 notes, but it was the unexpected NOISE that was wanted. Just like at the Rugby matches so many years before.
The problem today is that the blare seems to be electronified...making it a "killer".......
if we were talking about drums or another instrument then we're onto something here. what atmosphere does the vuvuzela add exactly? it's one high pitched noted played repeatedly like it's some down syndrome baby's birthday party.
Its annoying as hell. What does it contribute besides a headache?
They only do these things because they are not allowed to behave that way in ormal society. The feel that because they've paid for their tickets at a fan favouring sport they can let loose their inhibitions. I think they're temporarily mentally unbalanced, and don't see why they don't sit quietly in their seats and concentrate on the fight that they supposedly came to see.
It's all in the different concepts of how a true sportsman should behave. Some, don't know even aht it means, and their money is as good as the next guy's as far as the Promoters are concerned. But, if there were enough complaints to the Promoters about it, it would soon be stopped.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't particularly mind them. To me they add atmosphere to fights. I'd rather hear vuvuzelas during a fight, than little to no reaction from the crowd, which is sometimes the case for a lot of good action fights in the US.

Funny you said that. I had a guest over and they were sleeping while I was watching the fight (Tape, not live) and they woke up to ask me if they were going to do that the whole ****ing fight because its annoying.
