Not trying to flame it out in here, just have an adult discussion.
There's so mich to type, so im going to start with my main point.
1) manny had an edge in the beginning because floyd looked scared by forcing ost. Regardless of what fools who cant comprehend the big picture think, this is how the move was percieved and perception is reality. It doesnt take a genius to spin that story.
2) rumors circulate that manny agreed to floyds Demands with a cut off date, but its all heresay because they never made azhuge deal about it or publicly said (manny himself) that they would do anything to get floyd in the ring. This began to make manny look weak imo.
3) he continues to look weak by fighting arum retreads who have no business being in ppv's with manny.
4) floyd swoops in and fights the best ww not named floyd or manny and takes on a young gun who's hungry and badass at 147 while manny fights a
dude floyd shut out that is alreAdy probably fighting one weight class to high at lw. So he's a minimum of 2 weight classes out of his league.
All that adds up to floyd outplaying manny and bob. Bob was content to just take advantage of manny's fans and his reputation while floyd was biding his time and waiting to pull a checkmate type move.
Who the fuk is manny gonna fight if he and floyd win? Khan is trained by roach so floyd has him. I guess its gonna have to be bradley who looked as out of place at ww as hatton did to me when he moved up. We know neither floyd nor manny is going to even glance in sergio's direction, so there's no one at 154.
It's because fans and the media don't know sh1t. You think you know but you have no clue.
Everyone jumped on the Pac bandwagon because he was a likable dude, now after what people saw against JMM, they are back with Mayweather.
I have always said Mayweather beats Pac, said it since day one and I used JMM as a reason for it.
At the same time, I wonder what Mayweather thought after watching Pac vs JMM III. I wonder if that changed his mind a bit because he definitely became more vocal after watching that.
Either way this fight has to happen, more so for Mayweather than Pac I still contend because Pac's legacy is set in stone, Mayweather still has some fights out there that need to be made.
i.e Pac and Martinez.
I was thinking about this thread today, 7 months later and the tables are well and truly on the way of being turned. Arum is still a sly fox and can play a mean hand, but at the moment this thread needs a bump :boxing::boxing:
The tables was always going to be turned simply because bullsh!t ALWAYS has a use by date , BS can only fly so far , May 5th is Manny Duckmans use by date .

Decent post, but I disagree with some of your points.
1. Timothy Bradley was not as out of place at Welterweight as Ricky Hatton. There was no question that Bradley won his 147 pound debut and he actually had his man hurt or stunned in memory serves. Whereas, Hatton perhaps lost his fight and it was certainly questionable. Big difference.
2. Pacquiao does have options that could completely shut down Floyd Mayweather after Juan Manuel Marquez. If Ortiz beats Mayweather, then I assume that Manny fights Ortiz next. That would essentially check and mate and kill the legacy of Floyd Mayweather in some peoples eyes. Not mine, but some. Also, there's the chance of facing Saul Alvarez or even taking a HUGE risk with Sergio Martinez at 154. Doubtful, but it's possible. Still, he has options, is the point. Bradley is also a solid choice and if Maidana and Alexander fought, he could easily face the winner and get a credible win. He has plenty of options.
3. At the end of the day, both fighters need to fight inside of the ring. This contractual bull**** is for *******. They need to stop worrying and swaying or bending to the other. Just fight, then you can dictate the rematch. Otherwise, stop talking about each other.
And that's all this stuff is. The cleaning up the sport ****, this cut off day ****. All of this is just to get the other to listen to them. Just fight, or shut the **** up already.
It's boring.
I agree with this post right here..On the money imo..:fing02:
Of course floyd has a pattern, which doesnt matter cuz his last 2 fights > manny's most recent opponents and everyone knows.
if i don't misread it, i guess the point of post 494 is the pattern of pbf avoiding pac....
just guessing..............
I hope its sooner rather than later and i would prefer uf manny takes the tests amd beats floyds ass, but if floyd wins, props to him too...
i have absolutely no problem with that.
true, true. here's hoping that it will be an epic fight when it happens then.

That is partially true, but THE WAY it goes down can have a profound way in which the fight is viewed historically. Think of all th drama we remember about big fights, muhammed ali talkijg about george with the german sheppards, cslling frasier an uncle tom, tyson talking about eating lennox's kids... The list goes on. One of these guys can rewrite a lot of things said about him or his opponent depends on how they hamdle it

floyd is smart to think of another excuses. on his press con his now slowly back peddaling his claims that manny is on peds. the hypocrisy but flomos are immune to that so it doesnt really matter.
it all boils down to this: all will be forgiven for BOTH camps once THE fight happens.

Floyd has a pattern
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He has a pattern of waiting until just after Paq has committed to fight someone else, and then Floyd announces his own fight. May 2009, Paq is set to fight Hatton in a few weeks, announces that he will in all likelihood be fighting Cotto next, and Floyd comes out of "retirement" to announce his fight with JMM. Fall 2009, Floyd makes JMM look really bad, Paq beats the hell out of Cotto, they are set up to fight each other. Floyd starts playing the "drug test" game. Paq gets tired of the games and agrees to fight Clottey in March 2010. Shortly after, Floyd claims he is ready to fight again, and names like Nate Campbell come up. Suddenly SSM is without an opponent and Floyd has to take the fight to save face. May 2010, Paq and Floyd have easily outpointed their respective foes, again setting up the potential super fight. Floyd agains tries to bluff Paq with drug testing, but is soon "retiring" again when Paq calls his bluff and agrees to the tests. In Floyds absence, Paq annhilates Margarito and SSM, commits to fight JMM a third time in a fight JMM has been begging for and many fans want to see so Paq can put the contreversy to rest. Suddenly Floyd reappears and signs to fight yet another fighter not named Manny Paquiao. The pattern is clear as a bell. The only question is, is it all a big series of coincidences?

He was fighting fighters Floyd ducked.

When Floyd fought JMM he was two weight classes above JMM and probably weighed 12 pounds more than JMM on fight night. When Paq fights JMM this fall they will be seperated by maybe five pounds on fight night, probably less. Floyd agreed to 144 and never intended to make the weight, Paq agreed to 144 and will make it easily.

Manny will hopefully fukkin fight Floyd, if Floyd finally grows a pair of balls.

Who gives a Shiite just fight Pacquiao and stop ducking him
For me, Pac is already in the top 25 ATG list. I think people who refuse that, refuse to see the mans accomplishments and are clouded by their hatred for him or their love for Mayweather.
Pac started his career at 106lbs and is now a WW champ. He has 8 titles, if that's not top 25, IDK WTF is...
Your view seems to be clouded as well. To be critical of one fighter and not the other shows bias. You can be critical of Mayweather and be as equally critical of Pacquiao and be seen as fair and impartial.
We're talking quality of opponents. A lot of dynamics come into play when talking about a type of fighter; age, skill, talent, style, etc.
Mayweather can be seen as taking too long vacations, but I'd rather see him fight once a year, fighting TOP quality opposition as opposed to two subpar fights a year from Pacquiao.
You're praising Pacquiao for what he has done on paper, but this is boxing, if you haven't seen the fight, you don't know jack.
Pac cannot beat floyd in my opinion
Thats a big statememt, manny has the power to stun floyd amd he can finish. I csn underdtsnd you saying you heavily favor floyd, but to say Pac cant win it a little over the top.
Right now i consider it even money.
