Does Max have Herpes. His mouth always looks like he just got over some cold sores or actively has cold sores. It's hysterical to me.

So are you saying that Max is racist against his own race?? Or atlest Bias against his own race? It might be the same case as with pink poodles (white knights), i.e. males who think that women are the better sex. It's because of such masochistic self-deniers that feminism (= discrimination against men and privileges for women) could march forward so much and is now destroying whole countries from within. However in Max' case it might be that he considers "the black race inferior" and hence "they should be the ones doing the boxing like good slaves do". It could be that his opinion is a mix of "boxers should be black slaves" and "I hate zee zovyet Klitschkos".

I remember that about Calzaghe, and he and Lampley have said it more than once. In fact it was the opposite, Calzaghe dropped Eubank. He frequently lies to discredit white boxers. Max said "Joe Calzaghe was knocked down by Chris Eubank in the first round of their fight" during the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight. That never happened. Max said "Berto defeated Urango by a wider margin on the scorecards than Ricky Hatton did" after the Berto-Urango fight. Check the scores for those two fights. "Rahman is taking this fight on THREE weeks notice" during the Rahman-Klitschko HBO telecast. Old news threads here at boxingscene can verify it was SIX weeks notice - Rahman agreed to the fight in late October and fought Wlad on Dec 13. Kellerman said "Gary Lockett is here to make Kelly Pavlik look good" but the truth was Lockett was Pavlik's WBO mandatory so he had to fight him.

MAX is the bomb! He does know boxing.

Bernstein doesnt know a damn thing about boxing. I'd rather hear it from someone who's been in the ring before. If you havent then you should be a little more humble in your assesments of any fight. And most of the time I would agree with you unless you are talking about Antonio Tarver's commenting skills. He has a hard time finishing a point and usually it is Al that is finishing his sentences for him. I can listen to George Foreman or a Lennox Lewis, hell even Roy Jones Jr. was pretty good before his last few KO losses. But Antonio is pretty bad. As far as Bernstein, he is good and probably the best thing Showtime has in the commenting department. Jim Grey job mirror's Max Kellerman's job on HBO and Jim sucks, he is just an antagonist. I'm waiting for a boxer to KO smart ass Jim Grey one of these days.

I am tired of Max getting on t.v. talking out the side of his neck. The guy knows the history of boxing as far as who beat who, but he doesn't know boxing he is always saying something stupid and making the other analyst mad. Then at the end of the night he gives his b.s. analysis, he nothing but a fake wanna be Larry Merchant!!!! sometimes max be giving fighters too many excuses... larry doesn't

I like Kellerman. He's not the best commentator, but he's enthusiastic and can make fights more exciting.

Why do I think it's Pactards that hate Max... LOL, They LOVED Max after him allowing Mosley to get in the ring and show up Mayweather after the Marquez fight. They loved Max everytime that Max would blast Mayweather But, something changed!!! Max started to criticize Pacquiao, and that's when he became TERRIBLE. Sadly true. ... Larry Merchant is way better. Out of the commentators mentioned: Kellerman, Merchant, and Tarver. Larry Merchant is way better. People give up much to quickly on his long winded wrap ups.. yes he usually does make a very honest and good point at the end of them. Max is just a boxing fan turned commentator.. He is doing what we all would like to do and sometimes his excitement gets the best of him. He's not bad but again I just think Merchant is better. Now Tarver is bad. If it wasn't for Al Bernstein I wouldn't watch any Showtime telecast with the sound up.

Max is good for boxing. Intelligent, young perspective that is a fresh of breath air compared to these old farts that have been preaching BS for so long. Everyone has preferences, but Max is very good for the sport. Agreed. I like Max, HBO crew is way better then showtime IMO. Yeah, but by a little. I like the crew from Friday Night Fights on ESPN. Pretty good imo.

I like Max, I think he's a smart guy with an obvious love for boxing. He does come across as a little high strung, but it's a nice change from Larry, who sounds like he's in slow motion.

I like Max. Because unlike racist ass Larry Merchant, if there were no HBO he would have the same enthusiasm for the sport from the basement of his house or anywhere somebody would listen. My problem with Merchant is that he thinks he's deep but just comes across as an old fella that falls asleep at mid-sentence. I prefer Showtime for most fights, gotta love Tarver on the commentary. Unless it's a big fight in which case it has to be HBO just for tradition but Larry Merchant is just too old and slow now it's annoying, Max has got better but i still am not a fan. Jim Lampley and Harold Lederman are class though and Roy is great when he's on.
