You don't need to move up. That's not the only way to prove your a great fighter. You can also just dominate your division. That works, too.
does it apply to Pac too? or it applies to everyone but Pac? Pac is dominating the welterweight and trying to fight in his OWN division instead of moving up to fight Sergio but haters still saying he is ducking Sergio and a fight against Mosley is irrelevant? fighting a jr middleweight in a middleweight division is more irrelevant than actually fighting a ranked guy in your division..
Sergio wouldnt even have any chance even againsr the weakest guy in super 6. Abraham would land his best shot and put Sergio to sleep. Sergio has no defense. his speed and power is pretty good in a middleweight but average in a super middleweight. i just hope they fight or Sergio would even challenge any 168 lbs. would love to see it.
Fighting a 1 dimensional MW in Pavlik who was already beat up by old man Popkins is fighting at the highest level?
Knocking a guy out at his first fight at MW that nobody knew is fighting at ther highest level?
YES dominating a division does...but he has yet to do that, nor do I see him doing that....
Who should he fight then? Don't say anything else besides who he should fight next.
At Middleweight, he has two stoppage wins against Paul Williams and Dzinziruk. Whether or not people knew him is irrelevant. Dzinziruk is talented. In the fight that he didn't receive a stoppage, he fought the lineal champion in Kelly Pavlik. (Pavlik lost above Middleweight.)
You can try and discredit him all you want, but unlike you, I use facts. So, I'll always win.
So, once again, unless you're going to give me names at Middleweight that mean more than those three fights/fighters, don't respond to me.
This is one of the only things that bothers me about guys like Manny Pacquiao. When they move up, everyone assumes that everyone can/should move up now.
Martinez is a Jr. Middleweight fighting at the highest level at Middleweight and people expect him to keep moving up. I just don't get it. Not everyone needs to move up. Marvin Hangler never moved up and he did just fine for himself. Aside from a few catchweight bouts along the way, he never weighed in at more than 160 pounds.
Essentially Chavez was a Jr. Welterweight for the most part. At the very most, he was locked into 135 and 140 pounds. He could have fought in a higher division, but it wasn't needed.

yeah Mayweather is on his 5th....Pac on his 8th....
whoopty do, he moved up 1 weight class already to 160lbs and has only fought 1 real MW.....is it too much to ask to move up another and take on real challenges or is he gonna pull a B Hop and call out WW & JMWs to come up?
:dead1:
not everyone is that type of class. If it were that easy, Pac and May's accomplishments would mean little. Of course, you wouldn't know. You don't follow boxing.
haha...The middleweight champ is too small for SuperMiddleweights
but he wants to search for 147lbers...lol
dude better beat a guy his size soon or soon NSB will start calling him Sergio Fraudtinez
A guy his size? He's in his 3rd weight division. He beat Kelly Pavlik, knocked out Paul Williams and Sergie D who was fighting at 154 longer than he has. He's only had 2 fights at 160.
So tell me, what guys has he fought that are smaller than him?
Dirrell wins a decision...Martinez being a lefty may give him some trouble but Martinez is undersized and can be hit...I don't think Martinez would be able to get off like he did against guys who came at him like Williams...and Pavlik wass slow as hell...
Dirrell has arguably fought better competition as well...
Sergio gets hit an awful lot. I don't see him being very competitive with the top 168 lber's, especially how motivated these men are in the super six. These guys have been facing each other and top competition.
I agree, but the fact that Martinez will already give up every physical advantage...minus speed, then it's pretty much a wrap as far as those fights are concerned.
Against Dirrell he's not faster either. He literally has no advantage, physically or stylistically.
its not just about being small. those guys present MUUUUCH more danger style wise to him then the guys in his current division.
