So basically Arum and Pac will only fight the guys that let them keep the largest share of the money. Great. God forbid a guy actually wants a big payday for fighting one of the biggest fighters in the sport, in a fight that would be a huge ppv event. If Marquez were to get 7 million, what percentage of the purse would that be? I imagine Pac will get at least 15 million, just for stepping into the ring, so I'm guessing he's asking for what's realistically 30% of the purse or less. What an *******. I absolutely hate the fact that Shane Mosley is even being considered as Pacquiao's next opponent. But I do sometimes ask myself out of the three options considered for Pacquiao who would be the easiest to deal with where the money split is concerned? And that obvious answer is Shane. Berto gets paid way more money than he's warranted for fighting cans although I would think that he would take the small piece of the pie to get a shot at Manny. And JMM is hard to deal with. Did JMM Priced himself up before when he turned down a 750k rematch and went to fight John in Indonesia for 30k and lost? he asked for $1.5 million when hbo was offering $1.5m total for both fighters. one of the dumbest things jmm has ever done. how can you turn down a 50/50 split of $1.5m? especially considering where both fighters were at the time.
