Bump for anyone who hasn't seen it.
Great fight.
Saw it last Friday. Great fight indeed. Burgos was game and wasn't gonna let Hasegawa walk all over him. He caught Hasegawa with some nice shots of his own.
Good comeback fight for Hasegawa as well.
FOTY in my book.
Thanks for posting this awesome fight thephantom5. I don't understand Japanese but you can feel the energy from the commentary team...take notes hboring commentary team.
Wow! Great fight. One of those weird fights that's kind of close all the way but there is still a wide/obvious winner. Hozumi looked very small though. He should get down to 122. That would be perfect for him I think.
Have an all Japan Superfight with Nishioka. Both of these guys are great fighters and certainly two of the best from 126 down.
Now it's Jhonny Gonzalez vs Hasegawa
this is a very good fight leaning toward
Jhonny on this one Cause Jhonny hits like
a mule and he has improved on his patience
and better def sucks Hasegawa can get a tune up first
Burgos is a future champ need new trainer
hasegawa has great speed. burgo looked really slow. can't believe he caught hasagawa with that shot in the 7th.
hasagawa looked a little are weary late.
He kept dropping his hands and taking a deep breath.
Not sure if that's normal for him.
Every time he pivoted he dropped his hands and his head.
Burgos timed him.
Hands down my fight of the year so far.
WOW!!!!
How highly ranked was Burgos? And what where the official cards? Bet they didn't give him as many rounds as he deserved.
116-111, 117-110 twice.
good scoring.:beerchug:
good fight and great card and event with real good fights :friday:
Hands down my fight of the year so far.

I just love the ceremony associated with Japanese championship fights. The reading of a championship certificate or whatever, and how the crowd seemed to cheer at the end, as if the man who won did more than just win a comeback fight. Hell, Aoh was so overwhelmed he was crying.
Japanese championship fights just seem to be presented at such a higher quality than most American, even HBO, fights. And they seem to be taken much more seriously.
