Steward was in denial. Martinez WON the first round. He scored the damage, Williams wasn't hitting him with anything meaningful.
Martinez would destroy him in a third fight.
This guy is living in denial. More excuses.

BS. Martinez tagged him almost at will in the first fight.
He said he would not let it go to the scorecards. And he did.
Not hating on Paul.
REwatch the fight. I hate how dumb you guys are.
It was a damn counter punch. Martinez red Williams JAB, which is what williams was FEINTING. Williams Feinted to his right foot and was throwing a left around.
Martinez read the feint, and pivoted, then countered. Watch the damn fight.
I hate dumb people too.
Here is the sequence where Martinez starts to load up on his left. Notice Williams shoulder position and lead foot position, Martinez was loading up before Williams even came forward.

:lol1:
Yeah, it was the first overhand left Martinez threw the whole fight.
Can Paul change his wack a$$ nickname now? Hes not a Punisher, hes a Diva for the catchweight BS.
No luck involved with this one he seen from the first fight williams dips his head low will throwing the jab , paul was so focused on offense he didn't see it coming , as you can see in the first round paul came out the gates throwing hard shots and martinez was a little taken back as you can see it in his face
He hit williams with 2-3 hard counters at the jump , 2nd round samething happened this time williams was caught totally defenseless while throwing his own left hook , martinez ducked it while simoutaneously putting his whole whole weight into one shot that put his lights out
Well I think they still have a score to settle. It still will be written as 1 win for P.Will & 1 win for Martinez in the history books. Let P.Will prove what he was saying in their 3rd fight. But I also believe that was not a fluke or a lucky punch cause Matinez is already winning the fight before that big left came.
After losing to Quintana, Williams gave him credit by saying he came in with the better game plan and won, despite giving it his all. I'm not expecting Williams to completely discredit himself by saying he has awful defense, but calling it a lucky punch shows disrespect towards the better man.
Wasn't lucky just a great shot...and Paul knows it...I guess being aggressive was the worst possible gameplan for Paul against a natural counterpuncher...got hit with somethin he aint see...I do hope Paul bounces back tho
No such thing as a lucky punching. You punch to hit something. Martinez countered him. The faster he realizes this the better he will train
but it won't help him the next time he catches another counter hook....

Too bad Martinez had landed that lucky punch 6 times before the one that ko'd him. Williams would have eventually been stopped I feel because Martinez was landing bombs everytime he landed a punch. Martinez was fighting up close and shortened his unches up nicely unlike the first fight when he tried using distance.

What did you guys expect him to say?
Just cause most of you are born losers doesn't entitle you to say **** about fighters in general after they've taken a loss. They train to win, if they lose, that's just part of the sport.
I mean do you really think fighters take defeat with a smile? They train to win.
King Sexy laid him out and that's it. As for how him or any other fighter who's taken a loss you can't say **** about how they choose to deal with it.
You're a fan, so shut the **** up and know your place.
lol I swear to god, these types of threads and conversations annoy the **** out of me.
Lucky punch my left nut. Martinez was landing the left hook cleanly from the start of the fight. PWill just isn't intelligent enough of a fighter to adjust.
