Just listening to people call in to Radio 5 here, people who know nothing about boxing, probably don't even know who Pacquiao is, all being insulting to Harrison. Not to mention people on here.
Audley's a nice guy, I've met him, he has a nice family and lovely kid, he doesn't deserve the **** he gets from people.
So he failed on the big stage in boxing, he gave it his all but he wasn't good enough, simple as that. He doesn't deserve the **** from keyboard warriors and cowards like Hitman from Michigan.

Problem is he didn't give it his all. He didn't fight back at all. You can expect hate when you don't even try. All he tried to do was not get hit. We'd all respect him more if he went out fighting, even if he was KO'd in the first round.
It was two counterpnchers, it was never going to be fireworks.
Hayes plan was to stand outside the jab and catch harrison coming in, harrisons plan was to wait until the late rounds, the style clash was dreadful, but it was to be expected really.
You are quoting the commontators.
Anyone can just stand there
The only thing I feel sorry for is that he talked for years about the title shot, and under-performed terribly the moment he got it. He will remember it for the rest of his life, regardless of any other success he may have had.
With the millions he earned though, I doubt he will feel too bad about the criticism he will face. He has faced it for his whole career and doesn't seem to make a big deal of it. But it did seem like he had deluded himself about eventually becoming a champion.
With that said, I hope to never see the man compete in a ring again, for his own good.
i sincearly doubt you are an audley harrison fan, more likely you just hate Haye so much you will cheer for anyone fighting him.
Got it in one. Unfortunately the miracle didn't happen tonight, coz Audley sucked big balls.
Made Haye look like a right prick though.
Why did you watch the fight?
you dont like either of the fighters, you said it was going to be crap, why didn't you do something worthwhile with your time?
Who said I didn't like Audley? I had him in my av and my sig for the past month.
people who have nothing better to do than bash a fight when its made and say how **** it is, then go out of their way to watch it, then bash it afterwards.
Haye Harrison was an awesome fight. Best first round in history. The lads I was with were cheering their heads off with the sheer excitement of it all. It made Wlad Ibragimov look positively boring in comparison.
Haters.
He froze up like spinks did against tyson and got caught. Fear is your worst enemy. I predict harrison will come back better than ever and beat arreola or adamek. They don;t just give gold medals away you know.
Audley did well as an almost 30 year old grown man beating up on kids in the olympics.
As a pro he's lost to a cab driver and got knocked out by a fringe journeyman.
Disgraceful title defense.
Haters.

Beat Arreola or Adamek? Do you realize that Fraudley is almost 39? His career is over, at least on a bigtime stage.
Why all the hate..it was a bad fight who cares... and
No fighter DESERVES TO BE BOOED or BASHED AFTER GETTING KO'd..
I hope he retires and maybe gets a job as being an analyst with Sky or something...
Let's not make the mistake of believing Harrison is just some guy brought off of the street to fight. He is a professional fighter and deserved to be respected as one. Not being in the same class as Haye isn't a crime. Hate shouldn't be levelled at him because of his in ring failures. Instead, people should celebrate what he has achieved in the boxing ring, rather than concentrate on his shortcomings. Harrison is an Olympic Gold Medalist and a European boxing champion. These aren't feats that are readily available to the average man. For once the British media, public, and fight fans should put an arm around Audley and comfort him during this dark period in his life. The way he was greeted by the Manchester crown on his ring walk was nothing short of disgraceful. This is a man who won gold and represented his nation at the highest level. He is a good man and didn't deserve to be humiliated in the manner he was.
Good luck A-Force!
Respect for Audley to have been succesful in the Amatuers.
But he has been so bad since then.
bad guy or not,he talked big and did not back it up again and again he failed.
And he took everyones money while doing it.
I cant feel to sorry for someone who robbed people of money and failed to do anything.
He should have realised straight away that he wasnt cut out for the pro ranks and given it up as soon as he made a good wage where he wouldnt need to worry about finances ever again in his life, not drag out a sad career of failure after big talk and being a big conman.
I was there tonight, and it made me very sad the reception he got as he came to the ring. He deserved better than that.
I'm sure he'll console himself in the knowledge that it was predominantly by pissed-up wankers with little or no knowledge of the sport, but still, it shouldn't have happened. English sports fans can be the greatest fans in the world at times, but they can also be the biggest arseholes going.
The criticism should be directed at Haye for fighting Harrison.
Harrison was never any good.
He doesnt deserve the hate, because after winning gold he was promoted as being the next british heavyweight champion, yet could never live up to the hype.
Haters.

Seriously, does anyone think he intended to fight like that? Why bother going to Big Bear and getting into top shape if you're not planning to fight? He froze. There was nothing more he could have done. He didn't make a conscious decision to not throw punches.
