Honesty Is GOOD Good posts guys I am wrong the title should be Oscar has fought the best competition I have seen in my time being a hardcore boxing fan and although he lost he stepped up to the plate and fought everyone something I hoping I can say about Mayweather years from now. Is that a statement or a Question, his competition is not in the top 100( apart from those he couldn't beat of course), Only the competition a fighter beats is applicable, if we named fighters who lost to more ATG's well it don't make sense. you have a short history then..lol..back in the day fighters fought 200-300 fights man.... how many of them where good boxers ?

People disrespect Oscar because of his losses, but dude was a real CHAMPION. He fought anyone and everyone out there in multiple weight classes. Swee Pea, Camacho, Chavez, Quartey, Trinidad ect.... In addition to the likes of Bhop and Pacman. Oscar doesnt get a lot of respect around here, but if it were him going into that ring against Margs saturday it would end up like DLH/Mayorga

Think about this; Ernesto Marcel was a HOF 126 pound champ, who beat HOFers like Arguello, Serrano etc and Duran beat him in the late 60's from memory and then you have a guy like Jorge Castro, who was a huge MW champ, that fought up to 200 pounds for titles, and that beat great champions like John David Jackson, Reggie Johnson, among many, many others etc and Duran beat him in the late nineties at 168! I'll admit I don't know some of those guys as well as others might but its hard to imagine they were up there with guys like Chavez, Whitaker, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Hopkins, and Trinidad. hagler is considered by a lot of people as #1 middleweight of all time. leonard is considered by a lot of people as #2 behind only robinson at welterweight all time. duran himself is considered by a lot of people as the #1 lightweight of all time. we're not talking about mere HOFers here. we're talking about all time greats. top all time greats.

i picked duran because they fought in almost the same divisions. i don't agree with that. they're bigger names because we remember them more since they're more recent. benitez for example. most guys wouldn't consider a big name now but the guy was a champion at 17. he was all that and a bag of chips in his day.
