Juanma repeated his Tyson-esque talk again. "I thought Marquez would come to trade. He didn't show me that. He's a good boxer, but he is not a warrior. I didn't want to knock him out fast because I wanted to show everyone I have good condition. Knocking people out is good, but I didn't only beat him, I RIPPED HIS HEART OUT. Thats why he quit". He also said: "It seems Marquez's arm has a cable that is connected to his heart. One gives out, the other one follows" Finally, it seems Tito and Gomez had a good part in Juanma's win. It was Gomez who told him to trash talk inside the ring. Juanma trash talked Marquez at the end of round 4 and round 7. He wouldn't reveal what he said. It's stupid because it's obvious that Lopez would have liked to get Rafa out of there as early as possible. You can't acknowledge a guy as the most dangerous opponent of your career in one breath and then claim you would have been happier to go 8 rounds than to end it inside 2 or 3 in the next. The relief on Lopez's face as he sunk to his knees at the end tells you something about the fight. That wasn't just elation, he was glad there was no 9th to go out for. As much as he may have been punishing Marquez, he was getting hit with big shots in reply and didn't finish in that great of a shape himself. All the bravado and playing to the PR public with loudmouth boasts will catch up to him down the line. Best post in the thread, seriously. Damn ROA. Gamboa rapes Lopez though. Not so fast, Gamboa may have the speed to give Lopez problems but he's still very amateurish. He's too wild. Lopez is a patient boxer, when Gamboa leaves himself open to get inside Lopez will catch him quick.

Wow if Lopez said this, that's some low life sh1t. It was bad enough he was holding and hitting non stop in the fight and then was rocked from a smaller man and now he wants to run his mouth? Rafa has nothing to prove to anyone, He is a 35 yr old fighter who has been through many, many wars and if the man says he was hurt prior to the fight, he has earned the respect of believing him. I liked Lopez a lot and predicted a 8 round KO by him by the way, but I lost a lot of respect of him if those things he said are true. Rafa is a warrior and a legend, Lopez should at least show him that much respect especially after the dirty tactics he showed. Did i miss something? Why is everyone acting like this was a HUGE victory for LOPEZ? If anything it just showed how vunerable he was. Why is Lopez acting like a putz? Marquez came up two division and still wobbled Lopez Hyporcrites listen, either way you look at the shoulder injury, the man fought on as much as he could...much like Cotto did against Margarito. Niether of them should be faulted. Marquez is a great champion. Give respect and keep it moving. This fight at face value? Doesn't mean much, Lopez has to fight Gamboa or Caballero. Arum better make true to his promise! Then we will see what Lopez is about. Trust.

I really doubt that he said all that ****. I heard him this morning in the radio and he had all but respect for Rafa. He even admitted that Rafa hurt him good in the 4th. Was Marquez trashing Juanma or something? He's going pretty hard at him. Rafa is older and smaller. It's a good win, but is it more impressive than beating Caba or Gamboa? I say no. He keeps getting caught too, all that machismo won't mean **** when he's on the ground half conscious.
